EDGE 5W-30 LL Advanced Full Synthetic Engine Oil, 5L

I have been using Castrol EDGE 5W-30 LL in my Citroen C1 for many years now and it has become my go to choice. Despite being a small car, my C1 can be surprisingly greedy when it comes to oil consumption. I’ve been using Castrol EDGE 5W-30 LL to top up my Seat Ibiza 1.2 Tech every 6 months, and I’ve been very happy with the results. The engine seems to run smoothly and consistently, with no issues between services.I’ve previously used the Halfords own-brand oil, but in my experience, Castrol EDGE feels like the better product. While it’s difficult to measure the difference exactly, my engine appears to run better and gives me greater confidence that it’s getting the protection it needs.The 1L bottle is perfect for topping up when required, and the oil meets the correct specifications for many modern vehicles. Genuine Castrol 5W 30 LL (Long Life) Oil is cheaper here than anywhere else. Arrived the following day, well packaged. Note carefully the oil type for your vehicle. Not all Castrol 5W 30 oil is the same. The letters matter a lot. Different cars use different materials for engine components and particularly the bearings. VW are different to BMW's etc. The oil types have appropriate additives to ensure the materials used in the engines are lubricated correctly. So check which type is correct for your car. The 5W is less important in the UK as this refers to how runny the oil is (viscosity) at lower temperatures. Very important in northern Europe, Norway etc.The best value is generally 4L as 2 bottles is enough to do a complete oil change on most vehicles with suffucient to top up the vehicle by the next oil change. When you run out of the excess oil by topping up the engine, it should be ready for another oil change.

Great value for a substantial volume of oil. We had a warning light come on, during a motorway journey and paid £20 for 1ltr at a service station. So this feels like daylight robbery!
