2020 Microsoft Surface Go 2 with Intel Core m3-8100Y (10.5-inch, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD) (Renewed)

I did see the reviews saying that the specification of what they received was not as described, so I double checked with the seller, who was very helpful. I did receive the LTE model, with core M3 processor. So far (1 month in) I cannot fault it at all. I have upgraded to Windows 11 and installed office professional. I don't use it for games. It performs just as well as my actual laptop (Dell with i5 8th Gen processor). I use the usb-C port to connect a docking station, and then use keyboard, mouse, 2nd screen, LAN. Works perfectly for web browsing and all office tasks. I've read not to have too many apps running in parallel, but haven't managed to find the boundaries of the processor performance yet, with up to 10 Edge tabs, Excel, Powerpoint often all running at the same time. I also often have Bluestack running too for apps which aren't yet in the Microsoft app store. I also invested in the genuine Microsoft accessories (type case, mouse, surface pen). So I have many options - touch screen, type case pad, pen, mouse for navigation and I find I often use more than one in combination. Then, if you want to pick it up and take it anywhere, it fits in a tablet carry case, and with LTE works anywhere you have mobile reception, and I can use the Hotspot function to share the internet connection. In summary, really happy all round. I have not found a compromise yet from buying the "amazon renewed" version. No scratches or marks, and battery life seems to be as good as on line reviews report for new (6 to 8 hrs depending on use and screen brightness). I just hope it stays this way and is reliable.

Had it for a fairly long while now, very useful thing to have, i have noticed its starting to get some screen burn, from what i assume is the screen replacement it was fitted with by Amazon

This lovely computer arrived complete with Keyboard, which I was not expecting as it was an optional extra originally I believe. From its condition I don't think it had ever been used. No scratches or even fingerprints & the keyboard was pristine. I turned it on and it immediately updated itself to Windows 11, no option to stay on Win10 but I guess as support for that had ended it was the logical step, and what I wanted anyway. I bought a Metapen to go with it which works perfectly and the magnets grip the side securely. The only slight issue is the battery life, which I was expecting, it lasts about 4 - 5 hrs, but that's fine as I only want it to take it on holidays, to view photos from my camera and perhaps do some drawing / painting on an app. I also bought a Nobis 45amp backup battery and a short usb charging cable with the surface go magnetic charging plug. Such a good idea as I caught the cable once and it just pulls out with the tablet / PC staying put. For the money, less than a tenth of my Win11 laptop, it is incredible value

A very good product - fast, sleek, good for browsing the web and basic communication, etc. The cameras both work, and are decent for a tablet. The screen is a good resolution & on my unit appears to be original. The speakers are very good quality. Windows runs fast enough for basic web browsing, media streaming, messaging, and note-taking (from my experiences). However, I bought the "Good" tier of Refurbished as it was advertised as "light scratches on the body" - the tablet has multiple cracks on it's frame (images 2 and 3), a couple of light dents on the rear, a chipped corner (image 1), and the magnetic keyboard connection area had a dried on stain from a brown liquid, which has been removed with electronic cleaner wipes. I personally do not believe these are "light scratches", as advertised by Amazon Refurbished. The screen has a couple of areas where it appears to be damaged, as if someone has held a lighter to those areas for a short time. The battery life is pretty disappointing - so far I've been using it for around an hour and it's already depleted 50% - could possibly mean the battery was not checked when being refurbished. I have attached the Amazon Refurbished policy for grading devices for reference. I purchased the "Good" tier. For £109, a decent product. Could be better? Definitely. Edit: I have returned the device to Amazon, as I have since discovered that it did not even have the Intel Core m3-8100Y processor, but rather the Intel Pentium Gold 4415Y processor, a significant downgrade. I would not recommend this product to anybody, seeing as the seller didn't even send the product I purchased.

was very dubious to purchase pre used from Amazon, but the price difference was too good to miss . . glad to say I am delighted with this purchase to replace older laptop we use for holidays . .

I've had mixed experiences with refurbished IT equipment, but this works perfectly and does everything it's meant to do. Very happy with it. The setup was very straightforward.

Wish I hadn't bought this, wish I hadn't been so tight fisted, and bought a new one. I bought this to replace my old surface go2, which I had been having loads of problems with for a while. I am having 'just as many' problems with my new(second hand) one, as my old one. The battery life is far worse than my 'old one' the loading time is far slower than my 'old one' it has so many glitches,and really annoying problems. I 'so' wish I hadn't been so tight fisted and bought a 'brand new one'. I would not recommend that 'anyone' buy one of these 'old second hand ones' do not waste your money, and buy a brand new one.

Have an old, very faithful Surface 3 LTE, and was looking for a cheap update. This looked ideal: double the RAM, twice the processing power, much faster SSD storage, similar form factor (minus the displayport output). The machine itself is all of that; but not sure the condition qualifies as being "excellent" with visible scratches on the screen and scuffs on the shell; but not a deal breaker for a second-hand unit. The reason for returning it is the battery was dead on arrival. Runs very well on mains power (both using the supplied brand new surface charger, and my PD charger connected to the USB-C) but the battery failed to charge at all. Apart from being useless, it means the battery wasn't checked during refurbishing... so if I were to get a replacement with a working battery, who's to say it would have the described >80% original capacity. My first and last punt on an "Amazon Refurbished" device.
