Great uv filter
Easy to set up easy to use,works great.

Poor quality.
Had to give up using it and turn to other brand. Not very reliable in terms of suction and capacity.

Brilliant all round
It is very easy to install, to maintain and clean. Bought as a replacement to another make of similar filter and this one is far better.

Meh.
The filter itself is ok, but the UV light gave out after only 3 months. It didn't really bother me too much; the UV light did little to keep algae at bay, so I wasn't too bothered. The plastic is a bit flimsy; which makes opening it up to clean the filter inside a bit precarious - I always feel like I'm going to break/snap it. On the plus side, it does filter water quite well (I've got a 200L aquarium), but I need to use two of them for a large tank. Delivery was fast without unnecessary packaging.

I have a partition wall tank; 270 litres; 56" x 30" x 10" with light on both sides in a garden room which gets quite warm (33 degrees tops, ave 22). I keep about 40 cichlids (messy blighters) in the tank...population needs to be high to mitigate the need for territories and quash aggression... so as you can imagine...with feeding, I had a severe algal bloom once the population reached its present level such that i could not see the other side of the tank (V.Bad). However, the application of this filter + green-away did the trick and within 3 days returned to crystal clear water. Although through activity and feeding there is still a need for the occasional dose of greenaway, but it is now very easily manageable. Moreover, I found that if i supplemented the existing filter foam with a finer foam, the results were superb. The filter is very tidy & compact and functional...It does not vibrate like some filters and its very easy to see the UV light on. The flow rate is adjustable in direction and power and so i can regulate its effectiveness according to changing conditions. Its easy to clean and assemble too. Would recommend it. Touch-wood...i have not lost 1 fish and the filter has been in place for 1 month...so i'm a happy chappy!
