Make sure you buy one with a spring more towards the top of the pole for that. I bought this one and it’s a great product but, it’s slow to whip back. One punch wait, no combination punches with this one. **Q: Is the bag inflatable, or a screw in?** A: It is screw in. It is like a rubber/foam type of solid pad. Fairly dense. A pretty ideal consistency for punching IMO **Q: How hard is it to drain the sand/water out of the base?** A: Actually, I put cat litter in mine. The real fine stuff. I never take it out, so I can't answer your question. All I know is that the hole was really small and I had a hard time getting it in there. (Man. With that being said, after a month's use, I think this reflex bag is outstanding. The first thing I noticed is this bag has more "springback" than I thought it would. The recoil appears to be a little faster than other brands of a similar price point. In my opinion, this is a good thing, since you will want to be challenged after using it for awhile. The punching bag itself is a dense foam, so no need to worry about pumping it with air. I highly recommend wearing handwraps at the minimum, as it is a rather firm bag. I use wraps and 14 oz gloves, and am able to execute crisp, snappy punches with no knuckle pain. As for the base, it is designed to be filled up to 125 lbs. with water or sand. I used water, and have had no problems with the unit moving during my workout. One note on the spring that connects to the base - it has a tendency to get loose. I remedied this with a small piece of duct tape on the threads. Have not had it come loose since.
