Upon arrival, I was shocked by the poor packaging. This expensive piece of hardware was loosely thrown into an a box with only a small amount of bubble wrap and no other protection. Unsurprisingly, the graphics card arrived with numerous scratches, bent pins, and a bent mounting bracket. On closer inspection, I also found clear signs of oxidation on sensitive electronic components, as well as several burned-in and greasy fingerprints across the card. To be honest, I don't mind mild signs of use — cosmetic wear disappears once the card is inside a PC. But given the overall condition, it came as no surprise that the card turned out to be defective: it fails to initialize, reports 0 bytes of VRAM, and is not usable as a GPU. I am genuinely surprised and annoyed at how carelessly a piece of hardware worth over $3,000 was treated. This purchase was a waste of everyone's time, and all of these issues could easily have been avoided with proper handling and packaging.

Pros: * Work well on Linux. * 48GB memory is convenient for many gen ai applications. * relatively quiet Cons: * Card is limited to 241 watt power at least on Linux, instead of advertised 295 watt (with latest vbios and everything else checked and confirmed).

Buyer beware. 1st card was already opened and described as "new". Second card decided to check my ROPs because of the 5090 fiasco. ROPs are fine, however the Memory Bus width is 192 instead of 384. This is the equivalent of have a W7900 with 24 Gig of memory with a 384 Bus Width. For a workstaion card where you are running professional applications this utterly destroys any advantage you had of a workstation GPU. Not good folks.

Good card, can make 30 fps in solitaire.

Ich habe die Karte für KI angeschafft. Zu dem Zeitpunkt (12/2024) hat leider nur wenig Software ROCm von AMD unterstützt (unter Windows ging es gar nicht), so dass ich die Karte leider zurückschicken musste.
