Money well spent
This is the best 400 I have spent. Is this a 1000 sound stream nope! And I am ok with that. First off sun to my back you can still see the screen don’t know what others are complaining about and I could see it with a tinted visor on. Just as good as I could the HD factory radio. The sound quality is good it’s a plug and play deal. Pre-outs for a amp if you want that I got this mostly for Apple car play for maps and tha works great I added a wireless adapter I had laying around and boom it’s wireless Apple car play now ! Other talking about the cable being to short it’s not the grommet attached to is to far forward no big deal I too. A sharp blade and cut if of the wile put it where I wanted it and slipped it back on. No big deal. So pay 600 - 800 if you want a sound stream but for me this fit the bill just fine logged about 1000 miles so far has not spiked a beat money well spent

My honest review
I wanted to give it a few days of use to really test this before reviewing it. Yes it is not a sound stream, doesn’t have the extra dash features, and it is much cheaper. That being said for what it is, it’s perfect. Install was easy enough to do, maybe took an hour and half to carefully lay everything out and get it together. Now for the functionality, it loads up quick. The CarPlay feature - everyone says to get a wireless adaptor….no need to do that. I hooked my phone up via usb and after that it asked to use wireless CarPlay and boom it worked wirelessly. If you need to charge up while riding by all means plug it in. Now for the one negative quality, the screen is shiny, which looks nice against all the gloss black but it does reflect the sun making it hard to see but you can still see it. Hopefully the unit will last and I will stand by this review. Overall, I would buy it again.

Very nice
Put this into my 14 street glide, overall solid unit, good brightness and controls. I really wanted something with car play so I could have navigation up better. Easy to use, connects decently well, it is a wired car play system- keep that in mind, makes no difference to me but just a heads up in case you are looking for wireless, however Bluetooth and others can be done without being plugged in which is good.

Good but not Great / Does the company still exist?
Bought this for my 2017 H-D Street Glide FLHXS. First the good: It's relatively easy to install, even for a novice. It's time consuming, but that's only because of all the nuts and bolts that have to be worked on the motorcycle's fairing and has nothing to do with the device. The device is, literally, plug-and-play. Fit and finish is excellent and it looks great. Now the bad: I've lost use of my toggle switch on the right handlebar. It now controls only the volume, same as the toggle switch on the left. I'd say the bluetooth connection menu is also archaic and not very intuitive. But in CarPlay mode, the device is like any other CarPlay found in cars. The instructions and schematics that come with this are also woefully lacking. There is a cable attached to the device that has no counterpart connection on my hog, and the schematics are silent on what the cable is for. Customer service is non-existent. Not even sure this company is functioning because even when I call the sales number it just rings and rings and rings. I would stay clear of this product if nothing else then you'll spend $400+ and end up with something that might or might not work and there will be no support for it whatsoever.

For the price point, functionality and ease of installation, you can't go wrong.
After reading through many of the reviews and looking at the videos, I decided to pull the trigger and buy this head unit. Got it yesterday and installed it. Right off the bat, installation on my 18 road glide was 10/10 for ease, literally plug and play. I didn't even have to assemble anything, the trim plate and the mounting brackets were already assembled on the radio. The supplied harness had a small blue single wire with a connector, that didn't get used for my application. My stock radio had GPS and the connector for that remains unused when using this radio (you use your own map through carplay or Android auto). The USB cable! THAT is a bone of contention! Yes, it is short! The rubber grommet is about several inches away from going into the hole. The manufacturer of the radio needs to make the cable about 1 ft longer, problem solved. For me, I used RV roof tape and covered the hole and hooked up my USB cable for the iPhone to the radios cable end and left it tucked neatly inside my fairing and routed the phone plug connector up my handlebars to my phone mount. Yes, complaints about daytime brightness are valid. During daytime driving, the screen is too dim for my liking. It's like looking at a screen with a privacy screen protector on it. I can still make out what's what and let's be honest, who the heck is staring are their screens while riding. There are settings to adjust the nighttime brightness. I wish the radio manufacturer would give us the same adjustability settings for daytime (would be a simple software/firmware flash). Other than those two gripes (dim/USB cable) the radio performs as advertised. For the price point, functionality and ease of installation, you can't go wrong. I'd give this product 5 stars if they correct those two issues.

Read this. Not bad but not fantastic
Good head unit. The Apple CarPlay works well, I added a wireless CarPlay plug and left it behind the radio. It does NOT retain OEM handlebar controls. The left thumb controls volume up. Down. Next song and push in will change audio source. The right thumb control does not work as advertised. And after speaking to customer support they explained that this model advertises that it works but actually does not. The right thumb will only control volume up or down. For me, not a huge deal because I don’t often mess with my radio when riding but it is misleading. As every other review has covered the provided usb cord is WAY too short. It will not reach the glove box as intended. Hence why I left my wireless adapter plugged in and tucked in the fairing. For the price it’s good. Can’t complain too much. But I definitely feel the seller needs to correct the ad. Fit and finish is great. Nice gloss black bezel and turns on efficiently. My only real gripe with the unit itself is that the screen backgrounds are really bland and lacking. The layout is dated and very limited feeling. But again at the price point it’s hard to complain. Not a bad buy for the price. Also I added a few washers on the back mounting screws to lower the angle of the screen a little for my riding position. Increases my viewing position of the display.

Better than I thought.
I'm here to give an honest and unbiased review because I'm qualified to do so. I have a Soundstream Reserve HD14+ that I've had since 2022 when it first came out. Within 2 years, I have had to send the unit back to Volunteer Audio twice for a blank screen and a ribbon connector issue. After sending it back the second time, I decided to give the Power Acoustik HD-14K a try because I really needed a radio and they were taking too long to return it to me. After receiving the PA HD-14K and installing it, I was pleasantly surprised how good the unit sounded on my bike compared to the Soundstream. Keep in mind, Power Acoustik & Soundstream are owned by the same company so there are similarities between the two. The Soundstream is "supposed" to be the higher end radio. The only difference in this unit and the HDHU14+ was that the PA didn't have crossover adjustments as opposed to the former. Other than that, it's pretty much the same radio. After finally receiving my HD14+ back from Volunteer Audio, I can't find the nerve to send this one back because it's been so good for the 3 weeks I've had it. Not only is it half the price but I feel it has everything I need to maximize my (2) 6.5 speakers, (6) tweeters, (2) 10 inch speakers in the bags and (2) Sound Digital amps in the fairing. I would even go as far to say it sounds better than the Soundstream. So in closing, I feel like if you're going to pay $900-$1600 for a radio(depending on the Soundstream model)then you shouldn't have all of the issues I've had within 2 years. It would be much more cost effective to settle for the Power Acoustik to be honest. At least it won't break your pockets if anything were to happen in the future. I could live with this radio lasting 3-4 years(or hopefully more)with no issues at this price point. When you're paying $1600 for a Soundstream Reserve V2, I'm sure you expect a durable product. And that's not to say I don't like Soundstream products but it's to say if there is a cheaper option that is pretty much the same then why not opt for that. Times are rough and we work too hard for our money to get a subpar product at a premium price. Hope this review helps.

Perfect fit.
Easy installation and a perfect fit. Usb is a little short but not really needed for android auto. Sound quality is about the same.

Great product but short USB cable.
Works well as described, however, the USB cable is too short. Otherwise it does the job well and fits perfectly.

Para los que tienen duda con el equipo. Acabo de instalar el mio en un triglide 2017. Quite el radio de fabrica y puse este. Funciono perfectamente, se escucha mucho mejor, se ve la pantalla sin problemas. En resumen es un equipo excelente
