Quality instrument
A beautiful instrument in both looks & sound, real quality. I only have one niggle & that is Amazon stated a bag was included but none was there. A special deal gave me this at a bargain price so I let it go & bought one. I still give 5 stars as it is so good

Excellent value for money!
For the price this instrument is superb, ok the finishing and setup isn't perfect but it sounds really nice. Cosmetically nothing is too visible where it's not perfect so not really a problem - after all it's for playing not hanging on the wall!!! The setup is playable but slightly high at the 12th fret for me, it's easy to adjust when you know what you're doing anyway so definitely not a deal breaker. All in all an excellent buy!!!

Don't be lonely buy a Uke
Looks and feels like you want to pick it up and play it all day,as one other review mentioned machine heads mmmm!!! let it down, tunes up ok though, nice sound from a concert uke, does feel sharp up n down the frett board but hey it's new it will wear in,I have a tenor version a bit more room for fingers on the fretts, machine heads good on tenor, fuller sound as expected, love them both, suppose like all things good looks attract, build quality on both good, value for money pay less get less pay more get more, cost about what you expect for theses well finished Ukes.

great instrument.
i love everything about this Ukelele except the machine heads. they do the jod really well but they seem really flimsy. i will be changing mine for better ones & it will be fantastic. well worth the money!

Still learning to play it but it's easy to learn the chords
As someone else has pointed out it kept going out of tune when I first got playing it. But it settled down after a few days and I'm chuffed with it! Still learning to play it but it's easy to learn the chords. Love the sound of it. It looks cool, too. Recommended!

I would recommend them both
I have the soprano version of this as well. I would recommend them both. They are very light beautifully crafted. With a good clear tone and volume. This has an easy action and good balance.

Tone-seekers are probably not going to get better at this price-point.
Usually for this price you get an Uke made in the far east with, if you are lucky, a solid top and laminate woods elsewhere. This is European-made and all-solid Koa. So how did they do it? Well, this is completely free of any bindings or fripperies and a light satin finish. It's about as basic as a Uke gets. So every cent seems to have gone into providing you with a nice bit of Koa, a wood that is both the most traditional for Ukes and has a crazy, stripy grain that I think looks fantastic. A more fancily adorned all-solid Uke would put you into the £200-300+ range so I would rather have the good wood and minimalist looks at this price point. The instrument has a beautiful resonance and very well balanced with a nice woody, organic sound. In fact it has more overtones and depth than most Ukes I've ever picked up, albeit many of those were lower-end. If you've never owned a Uke before and are wondering whether to get a Concert size or Soprano, for an adult or even younger children with larger hands I'd go Concert. It's still small enough to sound Uke-like but less cramped both for holding and for advanced playing. If you want loads of abalone or mother of pearl bindings and inlays this isn't the model for you but if you want high end sound with minimalist looks for a nice price then Antonio Carvalho Concert Ukulele is a bit of a no-brainer.
