They work, well worth the investment vs. poisons/lawn treatments.
Count me as skeptical. I own a few acre property in Minnesota. The moles have been driving me absolutely nuts in how they trash the yard with their mounds/digging. A couple of years I put down grub killer and on the areas I did that, it worked, but they just moved out to the fringes of the treated area. The year i stopped, moles back in the yard. I had tried other mole traps with no success. I don't want to poison them due to an outdoor cat, and both the grub killer and poison ultimately end up in our water/streams etc. So I bought a two pack of these. The first trap trigger took 5 days. Prior to that, I thought, great I wasted my money again. On the 5th day I caught one. I couldn't believe it. In the mean time we got some rain (they like to dig after a rain), I placed another trap on their mole path, and it took another 5 days before I got the second. I did research and found that they are highly territorial animals and most yards at most have 3 moles. Well, that's what my hard has. One left to catch. The good news is that the primary area they were ruining has had no new mole activity. The traps are easily moved, but you have to be careful. If you trigger them with your hand, you're in for a hospital visit to get some stitches at the very least. The package includes two flags which are great reminder before mowing to either move them or make a mental note about where they are. They can be re-used over and over, but be careful touching them too much because the moles will sense your smell and stay away. The traps are made out of heavy duty steel (I assume) that are galvanized. I've hand them for about a month now with multiple rains and have not see a single bit of rust on them. They are a little hard to get set, at least initially. I put the ends in the mole mound and press down with my foot to set them.

Great trap. Works repeatedly.
I tried everything from pellets to Juicy Fruit, and this trap blows all other attempts out of the water. Iโve killed 8 large moles in the last 2 years with these. Easy to set and very efficient. When I go out back in the morning and see that one has popped, Iโm like a kid in a candy store. Highly recommend!

Successful trap.
Easy to use, highly successful traps. In just one week, I've trapped three moles. No more destroying my yard with lumpy tunnels. Easy to set and see if they've deployed. Setting them is as easy as pushing them in the grown then stepping down on the top to open the jaws. I though the little flag would be useless, but It is nice to mark where the trap is deployed in taller grass.

Extremely effective and well made!
These things have been a life saver. They're the only effective means I've found at removing moles quickly from my yard. I've removed 6 in total so far between my front and back yard. They're safe and durable. Easy to setup and the material they're made of make it feel like they'll last a life time. Simply run the moles holes until I identify a main tunnel and jam the trap in the main tunnel and wait. Usually have a catch within 24 hours. You'll know you have a catch when the trap has popped up.

works good.
The mole trap works good but it takes awhile to get used to it. Other mole traps I didn't have any good results.

Not happy with my purchase.
This product works great at catching the moles but is HORRIBLE in trying to get the mole out of the claws. Nearly impossible. It tell you to step down on it to release it. Makes no sense because if you leave it in the ground and step on it you do open the claws but you can't pull it out. Plus you leave the mole in the ground which might not be a bad thing. If you pull it out to see if it caught a mole, you cannot step on it to release it. POOR design

Does not work in soft soil.
My back yard was being ruined by ground moles. I couldn't put poison out because I have 2 dogs that I feared would get poisoned and I saw these mole traps and thought this would take care of these despicable varmints. I tried for a month and only got rid of one critter. I live in Fl where we have very sandy soil. To set the scissor trap you have to step down with considerable pressure. If our ground was like up north where the ground could withstand the applied pressure to set the trap but with I would try to set them here half the trap would sink into the ground before the scissors would even begin to open. One mole wasn't worth what I paid for the traps. Finally talked to a yard expert (forget what they call themselves) but they suggested a poison that would kill the mole's food supply (grubs) and not have any effect on my pets. I believe it's working as I'm not seeing the tunneling like I did a couple months ago.

Best trap ever!
I live on 5 acres in the country and have been battling moles off and on for 24 years. I've tried poisons and every kind of trap. These are by far the best. I've also tried other scissors traps, but their trigger was too tight and wouldn't spring correctly. These seem to have the right balance. When I see an active run, I usually trap the mole within a day, sometimes just hours. The red flags are nice too, helping to spot the traps from 300 feet away.
