The perfume is great - as always - but the new packaging is dreadful.
My wife's favourite perfume and I've been buying it for her for years. It came in an elegant bottle with stylish cap. The box intimated a little romance, style and luxury - it's all marketing and nonsense., I know, but it did give a nice feeling to giving the gift. Its image was romantic; the bottle looked good on the dressing table, and all was well.Either a new look or massive costcutting has changed the image. The new plain bottle and cheap, ugly, black-plastic cap resembles a large urine sample, brought to the doctors in a boring, plain, surgical-white box! There's no pretence of luxury, romance or style. Just a brutal, 'Here's the scent, we've got your money, we don't care - just squirt!'It won't ever go on the dressing table - it's in the drawer in disgrace.if it wasn't for what was inside, I'd have sent it back. Deplorable!
