Let me preface with, I’m a polisci graduate that went out of their way to take as few advanced math classes as possible. I wasn’t sure if I’d be interested enough in the subject to warrant a physical book, so I downloaded the free kindle copy to my iPad and have been working along the last few days with my extra downtime. It’s a spectacularly written book. Easy to understand when coming from a total novices perspective and very thorough in its explanations. I had a little trouble tracking down answers to the chapter questions (since the openstax book site wants teachers to only register for the teacher materials), but a decent google search warranted what I needed in twenty minutes or so. Definitely recommend to teachers looking for quality classroom materials and students of life that just want to learn something new.

Small font.
The book is an excellent book besides the font size. The font is too small. It is difficult to read while focusing/staring after 20-30 min.

Rental experience was great
Rental process was wonderful. Super easy and excellent value. Highly recommend! Unfortunately 5 week physics course was not so enjoyable...I'm old school so really appreciated a physical book in the age of all of this online learning.

1st semester college physics course
Lots and lots of information. This text is perfect for the class. Solutions can be looked up for all questions. Apps are available with all of the books contents. Im a book worm and looove books, only reason I bought it. Was not expecting 2 volumes.

It's a good book but you can download it free from there site. Other than that its okay for a free book, though you can tell that this is still in the making. The material is covered but it's not explained as well and the solutions manual isn't the best it's very inconsistent.

I use this for uni and it is amazing at explaining concepts to jog my memory with the solved equations. delivery time and exceptional quality

University physics, but solved with algebra not calculus. You can get the pdf for free. The only drawback of the book is the weight and size :-)

Text book was brand new as promised, nothing wrong with the condition. And It was the actual legit textbook! Not a rip off and an awesome price when trying to save some money for school. Way better than paying $200.
