Basic, simple, great little phone
Bought this for the mother-in-law as her 1980's brick finally died. She loves it; clear and simple to use, decent camera, doesn't really have internet [no wifi on board] so not overly confusing, its just a well made updated 8210 really. Oh and usual Nokia battery life of about three years. If you are loking for a smart phone, don't buy this. If you are looking for a phone to text/call take the odd picture then its great. looks very nice too.

Good for my purpose
I was looking for a "feature phone" to replace my old brick phone that was about to die. I didn't want a smartphone because I already have a tablet so don't need my phone for entertainment/extensive browsing, plus I like having a keypad and touchscreens sap the battery life so fast. If you are looking for a smartphone this is not the phone for you! It's a basic phone with some modernised features like a facebook app and camera. For me the most important features I was looking for was: Long battery life Email and facebook access (people often contact me on this) Basic browser (rarely used, but nice to have) PROS: Battery life is seriously impressive, even for a feature phone. Mine is off at night but easily lasts a week, no problems. If you turn off the phone for a long time (several days plus) it holds the charge really well and when you eventually turn it back on the battery is still full. The charging port is a mini-usb, the same as most android smartphones so you can always borrow/lend it to a mate. It is also the same charger as my tablet, so it's nice to only bring one charger on holiday etc. The screen is very big for a candybar phone which makes it easier to view internet etc. As I said, its not a phone for heavy internet usage but the experience is much less frustrating than on most feature phones Hardly uses any data- ok this is probably due to me only accessing the internet for about 10-15 minutes a day (email, mostly) but I think the compressed browser helps too. Can easily and cheaply increase the storage via memory card- you will probably have to do this if you want to store music or photos as the built in memory is pretty small It's pretty big for a non-smartphone, but slim enough to fit in your pocket without causing a bulge CONS: It would have been nice to have a dedicated email app, at the moment I have to get email via my browser (it doesn't take long because I've saved it as a favourite but still) The battery doesn't show what percentage, just the bar (when it gets down to one pixel wide you know it's time to hunt for the charger!) For some reason it doesn't seem to recognise when I plug in my (own) earphones to listen to music (this might be a fault with mine). It works fine with the supplied earphones though. The back can be hard to take off to access the battery and sim slot, so probably not ideal if you're planning on switching sim very often Not really a necessity, but a gps/maps app would have been a nice bonus (if it had an email and gps app this would be the PERFECT phone!) Bottom line, would I recommend it? Yes, if your needs are similar to mine

Phones, texts, 2mp camera, no internal memory. MUST get a SD card if you want to save music or photos. Only has mobile roaming.
It can: TEXT: You can make a 'distribution list' so you can mass text ( I think that's what it means, no decent manual, you just have to play with it and see what happens). PHONE: store contacts and display on phone or sim or both. Call log, speed dial, share contacts (send a numer to another person on your contact list ??) number screening. Not sure what that is as there's no detailed manual they just assume you know what they mean. SOCIAL MEDIA: Has Yahoo Messenger, Twitter and Facebook preloaded but you can't delete the shortcuts or rearrange any of the shortcuts or shortcut buttons if you don't use any of them. Can't add any others on e.g. whatsapp, if you want it. ALARMS: 5 of them INTERNET: don't seem to be able to connect to internet at home. So unless you have a bundle or pay for your internet on your mobile you can't use it at home for nothing. RADIO: which you can automatically search stations for, it will name them too. I found 14 stations. GAMES: 5 preloaded games, haven't tried them yet. Had a quick look, 1980's graphics. CAMERA: 0.3,1.3 or 2 mp with a zoom, video, self timer, night or automatic exposure thing if you want to photo at night. At 2mp you can only take 10 photos; 65 at 0.3mp, or 16 photos at 1.3 mp. CALCULATOR VOICE RECORDER EXTRAS: Countdown timer, stopwatch, torch, converter DATA COUNTERS MUSIC: You can save music on BUT only if you have a SD memory card. A memory card is a must if you want music and to store photos on it. A very basic phone, it's ok. A bit disappointing on the internet, and music side. If you add your own wallpaper on it you won't be able to see the time or date very well. Still on the plus side it has a nice big display of the time on the front. It comes with a screen protector already stuck on which was good.

Magical phone
This phone has so many hidden features it is uncanny. I have had to buy it twice due to this fact. 1. My wife manages to lose it on a regular basis. 2. The phone went missing for three weeks and eventually found on the roof of the car. 3. Obviously has hidden suckers or extra grip to hold onto car roofs. 4. Magically reappears after you order another one and it arrives. 5. Even though it was completely waterlogged once dry it worked again. 6. My wife loves it, the fact it has buttons and not a smart phone enhances its features even more to her.

Was looking for a modern "dumb phone" -- disappointed.
I don't like smartphones for a number of reasons, and I wanted to replace my dying 8-year old Sony Ericsson phone. What I was looking for is a reasonably modernised "dumb phone" so, seeing as this was made in 2014 and had exactly the features that I wanted (an mp3 player, a small torch and a mini-USB port for charging), I went for it. Unfortunately I am very disappointed with this phone. I expected somewhat better quality (compared to the dirt cheap budget phones like Nokia 106) for the £40 price. The only real modernisation is the mini-USB port, everything else is straight from 2003. The screen has absolutely disgusting viewing angles (I don't care about the resolution, but seriously, even looking at a straight 90 degrees angle the colours are noticeably distorted), the keypad feels bad (it feels almost like a sensor keypad, the keys have very small travel distance and don't feel like individual keys but rather as a single panel for the whole keypad). Can't recommend it.
