Great ,very comfortable ,good quality, easily fitted, feels like it will last. Makes the PSVR2 at least 3 times more comfortable, and balanced. Makes it much easier to maintain image clarity for longer periods without the need to keep readjusting. Although the PSVR2 isn't particularly uncomfortable to start with, this mod should definitely be standard from the manufacturer.. excellent product. A bit pricey compared to others out there but the customisation possibilities make it well worth the extra in my opinion. Pads and straps can be mixed and matched depending on personal preference, which greatly adds to comfort and fit. Product comes with: 1x plastic front mount. 3x different type front pads. 1x rear plastic mount. 3x different type rear pads. The different pad types included are: Gel,memory foam,and sponge 2x different type center head straps ,1 of which is A gel like padding. All pads are velcro backed and are easily applied and removed. Center head strap makes the unit more balanced, by speading weight of the device more evenly between the front and back. The straps can be easily adjusted to raise or lower the front or back of the unit. If you struggle to get a decent image ,or just want A more comfortable experience, this product is definitely for you.

The original PSVR2's head cushioning was getting worn and started hurting after a little while playing so looked for something better and came across this kit and first off, it arrived well packaged giving it a very premium feel and the piece's just fitted in place in seconds and now feels a lot more comfortable and actually the eye piece fits my face much better now. It is a bit pricey, but is of good quality so is worth it.

Allow me to preface this review by saying I haven't really had an issue with comfort in the over 400 hours I have in my psvr 2. I simply saw a lot of people raving about the set so I bought it. First things first, you can tell the item is of high quality when you open the box. There are quite a few pieces to this kit, however it is quite obvious as to how they will be put together. The only one slight criticism is that the printed instructions can be a tad confusing as the imagery shows the items pieced together whereas they come separated. For this reason I watched the installation video which made installation incredibly simple. Having fitted the kit, it has made it feel like I don't even have the VR headset on. Previously, you would feel a slight bit of tension on your forehead where the standard silicon pad sat, however, with this kit I have opted for the soft cotton and the comfort is very very good. It does come with interchangeable padding which simply peel off due to the velcro backing, The rear part also has a cooling gel insert which could be good if you get a warm head playing. As stated, I didn't really have an issue with the psvr2 in its standard guise, however, I can say that this kit has made extremely comfortable to wear. If you are having any issues with discomfort whilst wearing the PSVR2 I can honestly say this is more than likely going to sort that for you. One advantage I noticed straight away was that due to the strap which sits at the top of your head. Getting the sweet spot takes literally no time. Please excuse me now. I have some virtual reality to get stuck into.

I have never found the PSVR2 uncomfortable personally, but after more than an hour it did always tend to need readjusting. I saw this product mentioned on Reddit a number of times so had a look on Amazon to see if it was available. Anyway, it arrived earlier than expected - shipping from HK (although I noticed today Amazon UK do have some in stock now to supply). It was well packaged and the product details are accurate. Taking off the OEM front and rear band of the PSVR2 was easy, CG have a video online which is easy to follow. Installing the new bands was similarly easy to do. I opted for the soft grey material, front and back; with the additional rubber cover on the rear. For anyone wondering, this version is the V2 (someone incorrectly answered my question) - which means the rear pad is adjustable up and down. GC confirmed that any product from Sept 23 onwards is the V2 (if you dont have the rear adjustment you can contact them). The fitting is superb, I went with the padded top strap and it distributes the weight much better than stock - making the headset feel lighter. Grip wise I had a 3 hour session to test it out, didnt once need to adjust it. Previously I had bought some ceiling cable holders and that combined with the GC - you really cannot feel that you are wearing a wired headset - it makes a big difference. So, yep - believe the hype, good build quality, improved comfort. Yes its expensive for what it is, but consider the design costs, high quality packaging and so on and its worth it imo. Very impressed, would recommend. Only negative I would add is that it is somewhat more tricky to “open” the headset due to the back pad. No way around that really and I soon got used to it.

Before getting this headset I struggled with slightly blurred visuals in the VR2 that after a couple of hours caused a dull headache that lasted a few hours and ultimately put me off using the VR2. This headset makes a massive difference. The extra comfort headband pads (front & back) make a huge difference to comfort but more impactful is the over head adjustable strap. This let's you adjust how high/low the screens sit on your face. This vertical/hight adjustment let me sit the screens lower than I'd previously had them and this in turn totally sharpened the image which also totally fixed the headaches without having to overtighten the main head band. Thanks to this headset I can use the V2 for several hours with totally focused/sharpened image and zero headaches. Overpriced yes but it you've invested £350+ on the VR2 this comfort headset is a must buy.

The other reviews are correct. This easy to install 3 part addition positions the headset accurately on your head each time with no fuss whatsoever. Once on, pressure is taken away from the forhead and nose which increases comfortable play time. Although relatively expensive, it is a well made quality item and highly recommended.

If you are feeling discomfort wearing Sony's PlayStation VR2, then this Globular Cluster mod is a must have. It has made the headset so much more comfortable. It is a little tricky to get the original pads off, but not too difficult once you get going. Took about 10 mins overall. I like that there are many options of padding and also top strap choice of padded or just a strap. Forehead and rear padding have 3 choices too, and you can adjust the height of the back padding to suit your head. I've got it dialed in to how this fits my head. It was so comfortable it almost feels like you're not wearing anything. I am personally using the rear padding lowered to support my head, with PU leather in the back without the rubber cover, padded strap on top and grey material foam padding for the forehead. I found this combination to be the most comfortable for me. It's a shame Sony didn't make their headset more comfortable, as the PSVR 1 was the most comfortable VR headset on the market out of the box. With this mod, the VR 2 is as comfortable as VR 1, so I can only give this mod a 5/5 for the modularity and options to meet various head sizes.
