Auto Start Stop Disable/Delete/Eliminator/Disabler Compatible with Malibu (2016-2018)/Chevrolet Equinox (2017-2018)/Cadillac XT5 (2016-2018) and Cruze (2015-2018)(Big Plug)

Installed it on a 2017 Cadillac XT5 Premium Luxury 3.6 L AWD with no button to switch off the Start/stop. Good quality - looked just like the original connectors and wiring. You need to closely compare what you have with the small/big sizes, so you order the right item. Easy install, and it worked perfectly from the start. No fault or engine check lights. Everything works as usual, including the remote start. Unfortunately, no instructions were supplied with the device. Watched YouTube videos that walk you thru the procedure and it's a fairly straight forward install. I've been running it for the past few days and no stop/start. I am very satisfied with this purchase.

Works as it should! I am highly impressed with the quality and durable material. Installation took about two minutes with just using a pair of pliers and was super easy. No check engine lights or anything of the sort came on and there was no issue connecting anything together. I am highly pleased and I love the price. My little brother’s friend has the same car as mine and he never knew about this piece until I told him. Now he is on his way to purchase one!

I installed this on my Cadillac XT5 because the automatic stop/start feature had become really annoying. The installation was quick and very easy, and it worked exactly as expected. Now my vehicle continues running without having to manually disable the auto stop feature every time I drive. It's a simple upgrade that has made driving much more enjoyable. Highly recommended if you're tired of the auto stop/start system.

My car would sometimes fail to restart after Auto Stop kicked in — I'd have to turn the key off and crank it again, which is not fun sitting at a stoplight with cars behind you. I took it to two different mechanics and spent a lot of money throwing parts at the problem. One told me to just wait until it threw a check engine light, which it never did. Another quoted me around $200 to disable Auto Stop. A third said Chevy would need to get involved. I was ready to pay the $200, since I hate Auto Stop anyway and it's frustrating that this model (2014) doesn't have a built-in way to turn it off. Then I found this device. Easiest install ever, and it works like a dream. Genuinely one of the best $10 I've ever spent — fixed a problem two mechanics couldn't solve for extremely cheap.

So...............bought a 2019 Buick Enclave (used) and absolutely love the car. EXCEPT the stupid "start/stop" technology that was built into it! The issue with the technology in this car is that there was no 'off' button from the factory to disable it like some other makes of vehicles have. In fact, so many complaints from Buick owners about this one issue made them address it and I believe the company added a disable button to them starting maybe with the 2021 models. When we got the car I immediately started searching for answers to disable it and found that you only had a couple of options: 1. you could downshift to manual mode when coming to a stop, or, 2. install a module for about a hundred dollars or more that would fake out the vehicle and make it think that the hood was open (like if a mechanic is working on it and needing the engine running at the same time). So, I learned to "slow roll" stop signs, avoiding coming to a complete stop and later got into the habit of downshifting to manual when coming to a stop. This worked but was fairly annoying and my wife wouldn't have any of it and just drove the car as intended. So every time she would drive it would do the start/stop thing all the time (and at the same time, it has a mind of its own, so it start/stops depending on conditions of the what the computer is seeing). It absolutely drove me crazy thinking about the unecessary wear and tear on the starter and the drain on the battery. So I started re-looking at a defeat and figured I'd have to spring for $100+ to get a module. My latest search pointed at this gizmo, so I thought I'd try it and if it didn't work, I'd send it back. Works like a charm! No issues that I know of. No warning lights or anything. It just drives like a normal car now and it's GREAT doing so. Start/Stop technology, as far as I know isn't government mandated, but was put in place by car manufacturers to make it appear that they were addressing fuel economy and the "climate disaster". If a person believes it does good then that's fine, but building vehicles without a disable button in my opinion is not. I want to choose whether my car tuns off for 1 second before starting back up again or not, or if it turns off and on 20+ times during a short trip downtown. This affordable device allows me to do just that.

It didn't come with any instructions at all. Luckily, the delete harness used the same connections and colored wires that the car manufacturer used, so it was easy to spot. Disconnected the original wires,inserted the new delete harness between the old connections and tucked everything back into place. No codes,no lights, and now my car doesn't shut off every time I stop. Hopefully there won't be any problems in the future, but for now I'm very happy with this purchase.

So simple to install and works just like it should. Installed this in our 2018 Equinox w/2.0T engine and no more auto start/stop. I used a zip tie to tuck the harness in place...though its probably not necessary. Wish I would have found this small harness sooner. I had seen the modules that plug into the odb port to eliminate the auto start/stop, but those things are way more expensive. Don't procrastinate, just buy this, install, and be happy.

Extremely easy and straightforward to install. Works as advertised, no warning messages, no MIL triggered, no more annoying/ engine damaging start stop. Installed on a Malibu and an Envision, no issues with either vehicle.

A year ago, after a particularly annoying Starting/Stopping day, in desperation I bought this cable. But I was put off from installing it by the lack of details or photos for installation. I also got cold feet worrying that it could cause damage or the dreaded “Engine on” message. Almost a year went by and I finally decided to give it a try, but it was the middle of winter and I couldn’t disconnect the existing cable. So, I decided to wait for warmer weather, rather than taking the risk of breaking the connector. Yesterday, I finally installed this product. OMG, it worked! No engine light, no problems and most importantly - NO MORE START/STOPS!!! I can’t tell you how wonderful it is to have a normal spring experience after so many years of this ridiculous, supposed fuel saving feature on my 2017 Cadillac XT5. Best $18 I have ever spent and it’s worth so much more! I can’t guarantee performance on other vehicles besides mine, but I have no reason to think it wouldn’t work for others.
