But out on the course, there can't be anything that will grip the ground better. And these studs seem to be very durable - I've had them before and they are pretty rugged - no problems at all. I had an earlier version on an older shoe in the past which were really good so I thought I would take a chance on them as my course is getting way too slippery for standard cleats which get clogged on our clay type soil. I think I can see why some people have had issues. I managed to pop 14 of the spikes onto my shoes (7 on each) and it was fairly easy to get them to lock in place. But then I spotted something! 3 of the spikes had not actually seated correctly although they had locked in place. It wasn't initially easily apparent but I had to remove them and put them back in. The second time worked well. I am wondering if this could account for some people having spikes disappear out on the course. Only time will tell how well they hold up, as sadly my course is closed at the moment due to the very wet conditions we have experienced continuously for the past 3 months 😥
