For the price its worth a try. If it doesn't work Amazon is really good at taking back returns. That said I have found the J-tech DAs unreliable though and have recently upgraded to trays of DAs and converters. The J-tech filled the gap though until I could afford to buy the real thing. **Q: im going to use this to split a camera signal (AHD) between to sites about 500ft apart do anyone know if this will work?** A: This will work fine as long as you have decent cable. These have been perfect. Picture quality is awesome on both outputs. We've got 4 of these as we have four cameras in the church. They have been working perfectly for us. Setup was about as easy as you can get. Plug and play basically.
