I read the directions for him one time and usually he's able to complete the pages without me having to help him. There are a lot of activities such as cut and paste finding the words in the word puzzle there are stories there are word matching and there are letter matching and writing. There are a lot of activities to keep his interested. I would definitely recommend this book.
