Paint runs a little thin but covers a lot more than expected had to use 3 coats to fully apply, overall good paint and value

First my rant: There is no excuse for shipping paint in cans like this and by reading the reviews here, I'm not the only one who receive damaged cans. Do Better ! 14' x 36" bottom Jon boat painted inside and out. The paint is very good and applies easily. I prepped the boat and applied 3 coats of aluminum primer. Then applied 3 coats of the Total Boat paint. 2nd coat will be even in color. I used a roller on large areas and and a good brush in tight areas. Paint applies evenly and levels itself out very shortly after applying. One gal did the coat with a little left over. I did not cut it as it goes a long way. Color is more of a "stone" but it looks good and departs from the old Jon boat green or tan. Time will tell on durability but with 3 coats of primer and 3 coats of paint I'm expecting good results.

Absolute garbage. Painted my aluminum boat with 5 coats and paint pealed off the next day. Grinded the whole boat down then sanded completely with 220 with an orbital sander and painted it again. Paint pealed off the next day again. The label says for best results buy our additional $60 product ”etch” . What it should say is if you do not use our etch product this paint will not stick to anything. Manufacturer should be arrested and put in jail for negligence, racketeering, fraud, theft, false advertising, and general incompetence! Product is absolute garbage. Do not buy! I'd like my $240 back. I'd like to be compensated for the 20 hours of my life that I burned screwing around with this garbage, and id like for my boat to be painted with a product that doesn't suck- no stars-

Color is perfect, boat looks brand new but it rained 2 days later two small spots on the floor came up. Used a roller to paint and it was the thick areas that came up. Perhaps it was not fully dry.

This paint is really great for aluminum boat. Covers great and a little goes a long way. Follow the instructions and it will last a long time. Painted with a brush and rolled. After it dried it looks like it was spayed on. Paint lays down flat and smooth. Really impressed.

I purchase this product for my aluminum bass boat rails however after prepping the areas that I applied the paint to peeled off in areas after 6 months . I don't think I will purchase this product again and will try another brand next time.

I used this paint to cover the interior of a 1975 Gregor aluminum boat. I used stripper, and then a flap disk to completely remove the old interior paint of the boat. It left the surface with some light grooves from the flap disk. I washed the interior out with soap and water. Then let it dry. Then used acetone to wipe down the whole interior. Started painting the edges of everything first. Got about 3 coats of this stuff on the edges. Then came through with a 4” foam roller for the flat areas. I would let the paint dry for about an hour. Then wipe lightly with acetone in between each coat. And once I had 3 coats on the whole boat it was perfectly smooth. I could no longer see the light grooves from the flap disk. I’ve now had the paint on my boat for about 30 outings. It’s holding up great. The only areas it has been scratched off are from actual metal objects scraping the paint off. To be expected in my opinion. Will buy again for my next bot project.
