Avoid this drive and go for something else
Here’s a refined version of your review with improved clarity, flow, and conciseness while maintaining the original sentiment: --- I purchased this drive for my Asus ROG Ally, expecting top-tier performance given its premium price and marketing claims. While its speed was on par with other PCIe Gen 4 drives, it didn’t stand out as exceptional. The drive performed well for seven months before developing issues—random restarts, malfunctioning Windows apps, and recurring errors. On every boot, Windows began scanning the drive, and chkdsk revealed bad sectors. Even after formatting and reinstalling Windows, the problems persisted. To make matters worse, the seller on Amazon refused to honor the warranty, and dealing with Sabrent was a nightmare. They kept stalling with unnecessary requests for photos, invoices, and irrelevant questions instead of providing real support. Avoid this seller and this drive. The glowing reviews are misleading, hyping up a product that doesn’t justify its price. Worse, if you run into issues, you’ll be stuck with subpar customer support and an unreliable SSD.
