My grandson likes this hand held games. No problems with it .Not to bad.

I came in with the understanding that this is a tiny system and some games aren't going to be practical to play - which I was ok with because I have a larger emulator that can fill that role. Primarily bought this for quick pick up and play Gameboy classic and color games, to essentially be that Gameboy I took everywhere when I was a kid. Size is small, hardly notice it in my pocket. In the hand it feels very solid. Buttons are a bit tiny but I've been able to quickly adapt. Haven't fully seen the lifespan of the battery but reportedly gets 2-3 hours of battery life. A bit short but I'm not going to be playing a full 2-hour session on it, more of something to play on break at work, in line, or waiting when out and about. Screen is very bright, ended up bringing it down to its lowest setting, also will help with battery life. Overall, happy with this device, can relive some of the classics I played growing up!

Good for trips and stores

I love the metal shell, and buttons are tiny but responsive. Makes a great secondary device with a noob friendly launcher. Note that most games will be stretched or have black bars. Most important, I find it fun to use and share with people.

Agree with some of the lower rated reviews. The loading screen is stuck at BatleXP. I looked at many different sites, bought my own 64 GB SD card, imaged the card they sent, and reloaded. Nothing. Same result. Also on my new card downloaded a diffferent image file to flash and try my own SD card. Wouldnt even turn on. Re-imaged with my backup of the original card and didnt turn on. Put the original SD back in and it booted but stuck at loading screen. In all probably 5 hours of troubleshooting for nothing. Do not buy.

It has a good weight, buttons feel good, joysticks are an awesome addition on its Gameboy like frame. Sounds great but the audio does peak during more demanding cut scenes. Feels a little small in the hands. It runs right out the box, games added and pre installed run smoothly. There's a lot to choose from, and some childhood favorites are already here like Spyro and Crash. The handheld feels solid, but I still wouldn't want to find out how tough or fragile it is. Even my mom and my daughter play some games on it. It's a little treasure. The thing I personally dislike is getting no warning before the battery dies. Save often to avoid getting pissed about lost progress. You can only see the battery during gameplay by bringing up the retroarch menu. It's also the default button to hold to use shortcuts for fast forward, slow mo, save and load states, and screen shots. It's referred to as button 8 but nothing else I've seen makes it clear that the M button is button 8 other than process of elimination.

Gift for the hubby…still crickets on his end, but my daughter was so happy to try out some of the games. Will provide a better review once I try. I am into retro games so hopefully it will be available… will update the review soon. Price was awesome esp if I am able to play the old school games!

This device is very small and borders on being a novelty. I thought I would just show it off as a party trick and not play it much, but the fact that it is inconsequential to carry makes it perfect for gaming on the go. I carry it every day and I’m always pulling it out for 5 to 15 minute sessions in waiting rooms, lines, and before meetings. It has a very small square screen, so I’ve found that Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Game Gear, and Neo Geo Pocket Color are the best systems to emulate on it. If you have other handhelds for more serious gaming then this is the perfect companion. Have fun playing Pokemon, Zelda, and Tetris in the most unexpected places!
