โEasy to install and excellent Alexa integrationโ
The SONOFF MINIR4 was very easy to install and set up. In less than 15 minutes I had it connected to my existing light switch. The app walks you through the process step by step, and I had no issues connecting it to Wi-Fi. The best part is the seamless integration with Alexa. I can turn the light on and off with voice commands or set up routines in the Alexa app. The response is fast and stable, with no disconnections so far. Pros: โ Quick installation, even for beginners. โ Works perfectly with Alexa and other smart home platforms. โ Compact size fits most switch boxes. โ Stable performance with no connection drops. Cons: โ ๏ธ Requires basic knowledge of electrical installation. If youโre not familiar, I recommend asking a technician for help. Conclusion: An excellent device to automate your lights in an affordable and reliable way. Highly recommended for anyone starting with smart home automation without complications.

I love these tiny wifi switches
I just love these tiny wifi switches. They are pretty universal and tiny so they fit into a crowded box. And they can reach my router through a crowded metal box. I always try to orientate them facing forward in the box so I can reach the button with a pencil if I need to without taking the whole box apart. And of course the terminals are all very tiny so you might need to add pigtails but other than that these things work great and are very reliable.

Works great, Tasmota compatible, no complaints
These little guys are absolutely perfect for adding smart controls to practically anything you can think of. Most devices are "smart" by adding a smart switch, or having the device itself be smart. These are a great way to accomplish the same thing for "dumb" devices where you don't want or need to add a switch to your wall to control it. Flashing Tasmota onto these is the first thing I do, and while it's a *little* bit more involved than other devices (one of the wires must connect to a small secondary board on the opposite side of the device) but outside of that it's like flashing anything else. Tasmota functions great on it and all features are available - if you want easy, local-only control with every single configuration option you could ever want, flash it first thing. I currently have two of these sitting with my tools because I never want to be caught without one. When you have a project that requires something like this, nothing else will do. I'm currently using one to control the power supply to a wall mounted tablet utilized as a home assistant control panel. Rather than having it permanently wired to power and eventually ruining the battery, with this I can have power on until the battery reaches 80%, then turn it off until it drops to 40%. As a standard Tasmota device on Home Assistant I can do whatever I want - monitor energy consumption, bypass the standard rules and charge it to 100% if a storm is coming, whatever. Honestly, between this and Shelly devices your options are limitless. I've been pretty happy with my Sonoff devices, so I went with this instead of the Shelly and have no regrets. You won't either.

Great Smart Module with One Quirk
Iโve been using this smart WiFi light switch module for a bit now, and overall Iโm really impressed with its performance. Installation was straightforward if youโre comfortable with basic wiring, and its compact size makes it easy to fit into tight electrical boxes. Once set up, it connects reliably to WiFi and integrates smoothly with the app, allowing for quick control and automation. Iโve found it very responsive, whether Iโm turning lights on and off remotely or setting schedules. The app control is definitely one of its strongest features. Being able to manage lighting from anywhere is convenient, and itโs worked consistently without connection drops. It also pairs well with voice assistants, which adds another layer of convenience. The only downside Iโve run into is how it interacts with a traditional wall switch. When controlled from the app, the physical switch position can become out of sync with the actual state of the light. For example, if the switch is in the โonโ position and you turn the light off via the app, the light will stay off but the switch remains physically โon.โ Then, if you flip the switch to the โoffโ position, the light turns back on, and you have to go back into the app to turn it off again. Itโs a bit counterintuitive and takes some getting used to. Aside from that quirk, the module works really well and does exactly what itโs supposed to do. If you can live with the switch behavior or plan to rely mostly on app or voice control, itโs a solid and affordable smart home upgrade.

Lots of possibilities when paired with ESPHome, still a complicated install
I have smart lights in each room but don't want to lose the wall switch function nor would it make sense to change the wall switch to a smart switch. Most smart switches do not function the way I want, which is to keep the power connected but act as a remote to the light. These are excellent modules to install behind an existing wall switch to enable smart functions and can be reprogrammed using ESPHome for exactly the behavior I want. My family doesn't have to change their habits or learn to use some app and the lights stay connected to my Home Assistant server for smart monitoring. Installation still requires electrical knowledge and skill since the module requires both live and neutral. The screw terminals are functional but might not be strong enough to handle a full bank of solid copper wires like the romex used in North American standards. It requires some planning to make sure wires bend where they should or switching to 18 AWG stranded copper wires where possible. The wall switch connection can definitely be smaller wires since they use a low voltage.

Perfect solution...
This thing is awesome. Use it to turn on and off a power circuit (a relay for 208/230) for an old PTAC i have in my garage/shop. I use the built in thermometer of an Amazon Dot, with Amazon Alexa and this smart WiFi controller to keep my shop above freezing in the winter (on at 39 F, off 50 F) and now for the summer will keep the shop in the high 70s all without having the unit run all day. You can use one of these to open/close your garage door, run a whole house fan outlets etc.

Super Schalter, einfache Installation
Die WLAN- Schalter konnten bei uns dank ihrer Grรถรe ganz leicht eingebaut werden. Man sollte aber vorher schauen, ob wirklich genug Platz in der Dose vorhanden ist. Einbindung ins WLAN ohne Probleme. รber die APP einfach steuerbar. Preis- Leistung passt auch. Wir kรถnnen die Schalter weiter empfehlen.
