Works great!
This worked well to remove the yellow glue that was gluing carpet to hardwood. I recommend putting it on thick. If it's on thin, it will dry and not work well. I left it on over night because I forgot I applied it in a bedroom and the stuff came off like butter.

IT WORKS, buy it!
I was hesitant to buy this product due to the cost and having less than 1000 reviews. I am glad I went through the purchase because IT WORKS! After pulling of our 1950's outdoor rug, what was under it was brown adhesive residue. Before I could repaint it I had to remove the glue but didn't know what to use. After much research, I came across this product. It's amazing, I left it on for 1-2 hrs after brushing it on with a paint brush. I then took my 4 inch scraper and was amazed at how easy the adhesive came off. Don't think about it twice, make the purchase its worth the price!

OK product - but very slow to work and very expensive
I found that I have to leave this stuff on the carpet adhesive for at least 6 hours before it actually softens it enough to remove. Many times it takes 2 coats to really remove it. So far, it has taken 2 gallons to almost get 160sf room adhesive removed - VERY EXPENSIVE. Looks like it will be 3 gallons for 150sf - thats 50sf per gallon - does not seem to go far

Works Well But Hard DIY
It worked well removing the old cardboard linoleum back and mastic from my old fir wood floor. It spreads easily with a brush. I had to leave it on overnight and rewet the areas with a spray bottle before scraping. I found it best to work on a square yard sized area at a time because of the fumes. It has a smell like strong Windex. I was doing this in the late fall with a closed house. It's probably best to do this project when you can up open the windows for days. Be sure to shake the bottle well and apply the liquid gel generously. A stiff scraper and a wire brush will make the removal go faster. A cheap mop and a bunch of cheap car towels are handy for the water clean-up. As a DIY, I would rate this as Hard due to labor. If I had a lot of floor area to do, I would hire someone.

Good to get the remnants off
Made the job of stripping my basement floor of 30 year old glued-down rubber matting. I still had to rent a motorized floor stripper and bang away at it though. It really worked best after I had one run over the floor with the rented stripper.

Worked better than I hoped.
I have a basement cement floor that has black mastic from late 1970’s troweled over the entire floor. Around the perimeter there is approx 2 ft band of modern yellow colored floor glue that had the carpet pad I just removed glued down. The mastic was from the original vinyl/lenoleum flooring that was removed at some point before the yellow glue was used to glue down carpet pad. I have done about 10x15 ft area so far and it’s working good. I coated the area and tarped for 1.5 hours and could scrape off all the mastic and all but about 10% of the yellow glue (where it was thicker) which I will do on a second round. It’s working better than I hoped. Having a good scraper helps. I mopped with hot water for cleanup but I think I may use shop vac I going forward. This stuff has an odor but it’s not bad and I had no issues with breathing or eyes watering etc. I’d give it an A+ at removing the black mastic and an A at removing the yellow floor glue. I wish I only had mastic to remove as the yellow glue has carpet pad stuck to it which is probably why that’s harder to get off in one round.

It takes effort and is messy to use but it will do the job.
I used this remover on CARPET TAPE residue that was on a painted surface. The remover was allowed to sit for the half hour required in the directions. NEARLY all the glue came up with the remover...a sticky film remained. Rather than reapply the remover I chose to use Goo Gone to remove the remaining FILM of glue because it worked well and I didn't like the mess of the remover. (The internet recommended Goo Gone for the entire job, but I tried it and it didn't work. That's why I bought this product.) Just know this is not an easy process. It's rather messy so have a lot of rags handy. As the remover lifts the glue it turns into a kind of jelly that is still sticky and gooey. I used a paint scraper to lift the jelly onto a rag so I could dispose of it that way. Newspaper works too.

I tried everything to remove 30 + year old outdoor carpet adhesive. Nothing worked, but this! I will try to update this review with before and after pictures.
