Viable 1080p projector
I’ve gone through a gamut of projectors over the years starting around 2018 and have found Optoma to strike the chord of affordability and quality. With that said, this model, the HD146x has a clear, accurate picture, definitely full high definition image. I had been reluctant to upgrade to 1080p since my 720p Optoma had been doing me good for years. But, for a good price I got the 146x and I can definitely see an increase in clarity from 720p. Image is bright and brilliant in moderate lighting even while the projector is set to eco mode. There isn’t much menu settings to tinker with color profiles and such. I’m trying to dial in the contrast and brightness ratio on my set up. One thing I do not prefer is the dynamic black setting. I think it tries to adjust for white and dark images from scene to scene. But i think its unnecessary. Brightness and contrast looks fine without that option on. When on i think it makes the projector work harder as the fan revs up when bright scenes appear. Without the option on the fan remains nearly inaudible in eco mode and dynamic black off. This model is rather large compared to my previous 720p optoma model. The plastic housing doesn’t feel durable either. While running the projector, the plastic housing definitely becomes hot to the touch. The glossy finish on the top easily becomes scratched and smudged. All in all, I don’t see this model as practically portable. At 11.5 feet i am able to get about an 82 inch wide image. Overall, for the price point this is definitely a high quality product if you’re looking for a full HD projector. Image does not disappoint. Live TV, sports events, movies and video games all look great and perform and play well.

10/10 great value
Love this projector use it Dailey and all the time had it for a couple years now best bang for the buck everyone that comes over for movie night says it makes them want one. I project onto a white wall. Image is sharp clean and detailed I use a sound bar and other external speakers: I do wish the sound would connect Bluetooth but even with a adapter it delays sound but I solved with using kind hdmi cables for the price and quality I would give this projector a 10/10

Great projector. Love the 3D. Lacking a few options but great overall.
One problem I have is that I use this primarily from behind the couch, at about eye level. At this particular height (probably the least common), the image is projected too high for the space I want it in. The instructions say the project has to be fairly level when in operation (I think the allowable angle change from level is +/-15°). So basically it has to be at coffee table height or hanging from the ceiling. Bluetooth audio capability would have been nice. A larger range of screen sizes via the zoom function would have been helpful. More input options would have been nice too...it only has 1 HDMI port and nothing else. There is a USB power OUT port, but not sure what I would use that for...I tried to use it with a USB-powered JBL speaker, and a loud piercing noise was observed. Overall, though, I love it. The screen is fairly bright even during the day. I am currently projecting on a non-prepped, light gray wall until a permanent solution is decided upon, and I am still amazed at the quality of the image. I may do nothing further as far as the 'screen' is concerned. My main reason for selecting this model was its 3D capability. It's outstanding, at least to my eyes. Again, I am projecting onto a light gray wall--I was wondering if the 3D would work at all but it does, fabulously. It has 2 3D modes (i forget what the second one is) but I use DLP Link mode and DLP Link glasses that I bought here at Amazon: -DLP Link 3D Glasses, ELEPHAS 144Hz Rechargeable Active Shutter Eyewear for Most DLP-Link 3D Projectors- Acer, ViewSonic, BenQ Vivitek, Optoma, Panasonic, Dell, Viewsonic (4 Pack) In case you were wondering, 3D DLP Link glasses sync with the images on the screen by a nearly invisible (to naked eyes) rapid white flash embedded in the 3D video. These should not be confused with 3D DLP glasses (similar name but without the 'LINK') which require an IR emitter pointed at the viewers to sync the glasses for proper 3D viewing.

Good Projector for Golf Simulator
I set a goal to improve my golf game from dangerous to just bad. I signed up for lessons, got a launch monitor, some cameras, and something happened, my golf skills improved. I then wanted to get a projector to show the golf shot so I could enjoy the process more. After a bunch of research I settled on this projector, and scored a Black Friday deal on it. ! It was super easy to setup and adjust to fit my screen size. It's about 9' from the screen projecting a HD image from a 4K signal. It's bright and clear. I didn't think I'd use the speakers, but discovered the sound is good enough so I consider that a bonus, as my past experience is the sound from projectors isn't very good. Overall a solid projector!

Going to work for just about everyone
I purchased this hesitantly after some research on it made me believe it was worth a shot given the low price. For reference, I have a 15’x15’ media room with no windows, a 110” white screen with a ceiling mount, a 7.1 surround system through a sony receiver; DirecTV and Apple TV connected. I don’t use this for gaming, don’t use 3D. I replaced a 7yr old EPSON 5030ub I bought for around $2400 in 2013, which was acting up in operations and had developed other visual problems. The repairs plus a soon to be needed $300 EPSON bulb were going to cost more than buying this Optoma so I decided to give it a try given its price, reviews, and free returns. Opening the box it looked quite a bit cheaper than my Epson, with a fairly dinky remote and no real instructions to speak of. Using the same universal mount I put it up, powered on and went to work. It was fairly easy to flip the image and get into focus, and had some controls to get the tilt correct. Immediately I was struck with the brightness, which was better than what I had with the Epson. The picture was comparable and I frankly couldn’t tell the difference right out of the box. After a week of watching various soccer matches, movies, and shows all of the viewers agreed it was just as good if not better than the Epson. There are a couple of deficiencies that I notice I doubt the rest of the family did, and frankly we don’t care. When it is just on a black screen, I can notice an ever so slight red tint to the black screen. Additionally if I shift my eyes rapidly I can see the ‘rainbow effect’ I’ve red about with DLP projectors such as this. But not noticeable for any of us watching regularly. I don’t believe this one has quite as depth of color as the Epson, and no doubt if I was to spend about 4x as much on a 3LCD Epson 4K projector the picture would likely be much better. However, for under $600 I believe this is a solid choice and am completely satisfied with the overall product. No-frills, but bright, with a sharp 1080p picture, quiet and easy operation, this one does the job just fine.

Bright image, quiet fan, great projector
Bought this projector to replace an acer brand projector with a failing fan motor. We have the projector in the family room and use it daily to watch TV programs and movies. On average it gets used about 15-20 hours a week. The projector is much quieter than any other DLP projector Ive owned over the years. In fact, even with a "library level" of sound, I can not hear it running at all when the projector is in eco/regular mode. When in bright mode, for 3D movies or gaming, a very modest fan can be heard but it certainly on par with any other comparable DLP projector. The thickness of the projector itself and also its depth front to back, is a bit bigger than others ive owned but only by about an inch or so. The remote is backlit when buttons are pressed which is a nice touch. The image is bright enough that I can comfortably watch tv with 4 60watt ceiling fan bulbs being on and the image isnt washed out, but of course this and any other projectors are designed to be used in low light environments, in which this projector has a superb image quality. Multiple digital adjustments of keystone, image position and digital zoom to make fine adjustments to image size and even can adjust the levelling of image if your projector mount is not level or maybe your screen masking is not perfectly straight. A two part adjusting lens lets you dial in the perfect image size for your setup too. This projector is for a throw distance of about 15ft max for a 100" screen image. My throw is about 11ft from the lens to the screen and I have it projecting an image size of 110" wide X 66" tall. I havent used the 3D capability of the projector yet but anticipate the quality to be on par but perhaps even better as there are multiple 3D settings/options for the best experience using that mode just make sure you have 3D DLP shutter lens glasses. Overall, I am very pleased with this projector and would recommend it to others eapecially if looking to have a high lumen output that is for everyday use as a primary display in the home. I did purchase the amazon offered insurance/warranty based on service level and price alone versus cost of projector and its typical lifespan.

don't over think this
I bought the projector a month and I am very pleased. We use it as our primary TV, mostly to watch movies on a 120" screen. The thing just works. Does it have a fan, yes. Can I hear it over my sound system, no. The Optoma HZ40HDR is substantially brighter than the 3000 lumen projector it's replacing. I could spend 1000s more on deeper blacks or 4K and I would be wasting 1000s of dollars -- the dynamic range looks great and so does the resolution. Use a projector calculator, like the one at Projector Central's website, to make sure that the projected image will fit on your wall or screen. I was relieved to see that the image fit exactly as predicted (calculated). The HDMI-CEC feature allowed me to easily use my Roku remote control to turn on power and control volume on my AV receiver.

Faltam manual, cabo (marca boa, mas que decepciona no conjunto do produto)
Produto de qualidade, mas não vem com manual, cabo HDMI, capa... fabrica deveria ter um cuidado maior, já que trata-se de algo tão caro.
