Worth the Money
We didn't think that using a 2.7K (2569 x 1440) resolution monitor that was 24 inches or less would make a significant difference when compared to a normal HD resolution display, but we've had a unique opportunity to see the difference up close since we have two desktops, each running both resolutions. We recently purchased two of these Dell P2418D, 2.7K monitors. We already had two of the Dell P2419H on each computer and a couple of older HP monitors. The Dell P2419H monitors are 1920x1080, or full HD. They look pretty good, but when you place this P2418D next to them, it's very clear that the extra resolution from a 2.7K monitor is significant. We use these monitors to edit videos in Davinci Resolve and photos in Photoshop and Lightroom. For pictures and videos, the extra resolution means we can squeeze a bit more information onto the screen. By doing that (squeezing more information on the screen), we get all the menus and other information that a program like Photoshop typically has, but with more room than we expected to view the image. You wouldn't think it would matter that much, but it is significant. For displaying text, we've settled on setting the text size at 125%, mostly to more closely match the size and appearance of the lower resolution monitors, so the screens look close to the same when moving from one screen to the other. When doing so, the graphics of Photoshop, Lightroom, and Davinci Resolve remain the same with the corresponding higher resolution. We can't speak to the actual color accuracy of these monitors because we don't have the equipment to test them, but in looking at an image or video across all four (two 2.7k P2418Ds and two P2419Hs) they look how we think they should look, and more importantly, they look the same. They're IPS monitors which is supposed to be better than older or cheaper monitors and they do indeed appear to be better than our older monitors. They're supposed to be pre-calibrated, or so Dell claims, and as we said above, they at least look the same from one to the next. Would we buy this monitor again? Certainly. Only four months ago we bought two of the 1920 x 1080 monitors, but had we known how significant the difference was we would have bought the P2418D in the first place.

Great monitor at a great price
I wanted a big monitor for a small desk (meaning I would sit relatively close to the monitor (2.5" feet away) and this is perfect. Size is just right and the 1440p resolution is perfect for this size. I know people rave about 4k but at this monitor size, 1440p is perfectly sharp and great for text. 4k becomes more of a difference maker at 27" or larger screens. This monitor has thin bezels (I don't mind the slightly thicker chin with the Dell logo) and if you get it at a good price (I paid $245) it is a steal. I also tried out the U2415 which has a 16:10 aspect ratio, but its resolution is equivalent to 1080p and you can definitely see the pixels, so very happy I opted for this one, the P2418D, in the end. I would say that for laptops, a 16:10 aspect ratio is a real benefit, but for a big monitor with resolution of 1440p or higher, stick with 16:9.

Nice home office monitor
After reading various reviews on Dell monitors in this size range (21-25") I chose to buy this one. I don't play games, but every review I read indicated the QHD (1440p) monitors are good for office use. I've been using a gen 4 iPad with retina screen for several years, and found little difference from it. I am 70, so I may be missing something younger users can see, but I am pleased with the resolution. The main difference between this one, 24", and the 25" model was in the ports on each. The 24" also has slots at the bottom of the screen for the AC511 sound bar, which I also got. I'm not looking to watch movies, etc, but believe this sound bar is sufficient for light use, and takes up very little space. I am also impressed with the stand design. The monitor slides up and down, tilts and swivels with ease. I also discovered the hole in the stand is a natural point to lift the monitor if needed. And it's not too heavy. So, good purchase. There's a lot of information on the Dell website if you want to compare monitors. I also recommend reading model reviews for the experts' opinions.

No surprises. Just works.
There were no surprises here. It is what's advertised. It's a good but not an amazing product. Ex. The connections on the back are limited. It doesn't seem to have a speaker or headphone outlet, but that's expected. It does have USB connectors. No obvious bad pixels.

Great secondary monitor for a Dell S2417DG.
Bought this one used from InStock901 as "Used - Good". Screen was free of defects, no stuck/dead pixels, and came with all the accessories and cables. Stand was a little scratched, but that's hardly a problem. As for the monitor itself, the dimensions are very close to the S2417DG being used next to it, so they look great side by side. Brightness and color accuracy are as expected for a budget 1440p monitor (again, using it as a second monitor to a gaming display). Really happy with this purchase!

Dual Monitor Mode is Horrible on this Unit
What is the deal, a 25% restocking fee ($157.38/$629.54)? The stated RRI policy is 15%, if you bought something brand new. These monitor were defective for my use case: dual monitors on a Mac mini. And drives off of the disk didn't help. Moreover, the monitors would blitz purple or blank out every so often, and I couldn't move the mouse cursor properly from one monitor to the other (seemed to be a dis-jointed sweet spot that I finally found)!!! How aggravating! No doubt this monitor had terrible drivers, but a defect is not just a defect in hardware, a defect can be software as well! I will never do business with RRI again!

I've been using the older model P2416D at work for a few years and have been very happy with it. I got this one for home use. Pluses: - Excellent colour reproduction, glare free surface - No visible artifacts or light bleeding - Flicker free - The build in USB hub is very handy. Now I only need to plugin the hdmi and the usb lead into the laptop in order to have a fully functional home workstation. - 1440p resolution is great at this screen size. I find 27" screens too large - almost tv size! - 3 year warranty from Dell - No screwdriver needed for the setup Minuses: - Wish it had one more HDMI input for the Chromecast Nothing else, looks stunning on the desk!

I bought this 1440p monitor to replace my aging 1080p ASUS VX238H (non-IPS) monitor. IPS makes a huge difference in image quality. Images appear much more vivid in color, and 1440p resolution makes text look soft instead of harsh like the Windows XP-era. The only downside I've noticed is a blurriness when scrolling on webpages and playing games. This monitor is a great choice if you play slower PC games and care more about image quality over refresh rate.
