The maximum height slot is convenient for ironing without any back strain. The board is nice and broad with a convenient rounded oval shape on one side. The cover is nice cotton cloth but the inside padding is too thin. I put a folded old bed sheet on top for extra padding. The side metal frame is okay for hanging ironed clothes on hangers. I thought it was an iron rack, however the iron does not sit upright in this frame, at least my iron did not. However, the ironing board is broad enough and long enough for resting the iron. The ironing board folds up easily for out of sight storage.
