I have cats that love to break screens and try to escape through them. I bought this one so if they did decide to damage the screen, I wasn't constantly buying repair kits for our nicer screens. This definitely isn't pet proof (however, doesn't claim to be) but I still gave it a 5 star because of its affordability and ease of use. It fits perfectly in my window and I love that you can easily adjust it to fit. The wood adds a nice touch to it too. I plan on buying another in the future and placing another in the window as that deters my cats a bit by having two there. I easily fix this with a sowing needle and some thread, and so far they haven't torn it! (Note: I use this on a double hung window) I wrote this review specifically for anyone else interested in buying this screen for pets who are a bit of a menace (I still love them though, and they enjoy the fresh air too).

Installing new windows never thought I’d need screens. But my bad. Pella screens such compared to Reliabuilt. They do not come off easy. You have to remove the entire screen. Unlike Reliabuilt has moveable half screens. Some, of the vintage storm window screens broke. The new Pella problem meant going OG to these easy to remove screens. They fit perfect in the storm window spot for the taller 18” size. Bought these shorter versions to get a little flow but no need for a larger opening. The price point was perfect. What I also like about the style is for the cat crew. We double up with one of these and the storm screen to ensure our fur fam doesn’t fall out if the screen would come loose while they’re lounging, I grew up with this style screen. Before the aluminum storm windows in older homes these helped keep pests out of open windows. Without Amazon offering this product wouldn’t have been able to solve the issues we were having and the added safety for our fluffy loved ones. Great product. Ease of install. Durable thickness. Have had no issue with pests making their way through the edges. The only issue we noticed is one of the screens has some rust forming. A little WD 40 can help or I saw this hack to use shaving cream on car windows to repel water. Same on these metal parts that support the frame. Hope this review is helpful

I have nothing negative to say about it. The description is correct, fits in my window, and does what its supposed to do. It worked for me, and its sturdy. The price is good too

Very easy to fit into the window, works great. Unfortunately, I’m rural and cows and critters are always coming by. My mastiff and rescue pit attack the windows trying to get out when they see cows or critters. Good thing the windows are tough, double paned. But if I tried to use these screens, the screens would be in the dirt and the pups would be gone. I’ve ordered four more 18” ones but they aren’t going in a front window. Side windows and bedrooms only! Im impressed anyway. Having customs made for my windows would easily have been 2K. Plus they’d have ruined my view for most of the year. I’m in Texas so I can only use them for a few weeks late fall and a few weeks early spring. Maybe a few in winter. I like that I can just put them away in under a minute when I don’t need them and go to my view without the ugly gray grid in the way.

I just bought one to try it out. I live in the city where my apartment does not have central air. Me and my husband had a AC that broke so we bought fans, but it was still humid so I wanted to try a different method. I found these on Amazon and they were really inexpensive. I have three cats. I’m very impressed by the screen and everything. It was very easy to set up. And it is very adjustable. The color is really cute. I do think the screen itself on the sides are a little flimsy but the middle and everything seems pretty good. After putting it up really quickly in less than 30 seconds, I decided to order another. Because I could feel a difference very quickly in how it was getting cooler. I definitely recommend this. Especially if you have cats that love looking out the windows just make sure your cats aren’t the type to claw out the windows and stuff like that I don’t have that issue with my cat. We live on the second floor. I just always in case still look over at them. I use it by my kitchen where my oven is and gas stove, cause I don’t like the stuff it puts out in the air. I just wanted to go out the window, so this is perfect.

This is one of those purchases that you don't realize how much you need it, until you actually have it. I had a window where I loved the view without the screen, but missed being able to open it and get fresh air. I purchased the small screen and now love how I have the best of both worlds. Great, uninhibited view AND fresh air. Couldn't be happier.

Easy to use. Size was perfect for my kitchen and other small windows.

Defective (bent & crooked) but since I can't get to Purolator to return it I'm stuck paying for a defective item. Amazon sucks!

Feels a little flimsy but it should do the trick. Fits well in the window frame.
