These worked great to replace my broken strap. Comes in a pair so I now have a backup. Great fix instead of buying a new cooler as the OEM suggested.

Nice packaging, all parts arrived as pictured and look good. Latch is comprised of 3 main pieces: post, hinge bracket, rubber latch. To install the post requires two holes: one for the bolt, and one for a plastic tab that is molded into the piece. I used a 5/32" drill bit for the bolt hole, and a 3/16" drill bit for the plastic tab. The hinge bracket requires two bolts the same size as the post. I used the same 5/32" drill bit for those holes. To secure the bolt, I used a 7mm box end wrench to hold the nut while I screwed the bolt in. Total installation was less than 10 minutes.Time will tell how they hold up, but they look good. I like that the post has the round plastic tab that inserts into the application material. Prevents rotation of the post. A couple minor concerns: The nuts are really small. For my application, some stainless steel washers would have been nice to reduce the possibility that the nuts pull through the relatively soft plastic of the box. Also, the rubber latch did not rotate smoothly in the plastic hinge. I was worried that over time that could abrade the rubber hinge piece causing it to fail. So I added some grease to the hinge area. For my application (camping box), this will be a very low use item. Probably not a problem unless the latch is used frequently. Just thought I'd mention it. Would have been 5 stars other than these two nice-to-haves. I will more than likely be ordering more.Edit 03/21/2018: Bought another set. Exactly the same, except packaged with an extra bolt. Have used the box with the first set and they work great. Definitely recommend!

I was able to salvage a cooler someone threw out due to the latches being broken. I ordered these as replacements to find out after receiving them that they're the exact ones I removed from the cooler that were originally placed on the cooler by the manufacturer. They're still holding up strong months later!

Very easy bolt in. Looks the same as new.
