Bluesky Fast & Easy Builder Gel 10ml, Latte, Nude Pink

So far so good! I did use a flat pro brush to apply but i just prefer it and would recommend it to anyone to get that before doing your own builder gel - also learn how to apply it correctly - lots of videos on social. Im no pro but pretty happy with my results🥰

ive been doing my own nails with uv gels for 6 years now and this is by far the best builder gel / any nail gel i’ve ever used. i bought the colour dusty pink which is perfect for the base of a french tip. the application is amazing. on one hand i tried applying a thicker base and the gel evened itself out pretty well which was incredibly easy and quick! and the gel fully cured in 60 seconds under the lamp despite the thickened of the coat. however this method would take a bit of practice as the you need to make sure the shape is fully even before curing. on my other hand i applied three thin layers of the gel which i found worked the best for an even and well shaped coat! the gel is buildable and the coverage is amazing. for the price this builder gel is genuinely the best i’ve ever used! it didn’t peel off my nails at all - just make sure that you prep your nail bed properly to ensure it doesn’t peel off for you as well! 100% recommend

First thing for anyone reading this review is that i'm a novice at nail extensions. This is my second time using this make of builder gel, the first time i used a different type of gel but found that it was very thick to work with. I can say this product was far easier to use. I ordered the Pale Nude, the colour it is as imaged and looks quite natural. No extra brushes need as it comes like a nail varnish in a bottle with its own brush. Although not a big bottle first thing to know is a little goes a long way: that is once you get the hang of application i applied far to much at first. The gel is quite thin in consistency compared to the other gel I used (which cures in 5 seconds) and as a longer curing time. I used it to extend my nails, be aware that if you apply to larger quantity and spread it out to much it tends to spread out very quickly over your nails (and skin) due to its self leveling properties. If the consistency was a mix of both products that would be ideal as it's not as easy as it looks to apply as shown in the product video (will take a little more practice). Once cured it is extremely strong I've had no breakage as yet, but does file down nicely when using the correct grit to shape. I have sensitive nail beds and had no burning sensation on curing or adverse reaction as yet to this product. The only downside is that the product doesn't come with any instructions for use or additional information other than a warning on the box to keep out of reach of children. Maybe something the manufacturer should look at to include.

Ok, so as a non trading, qualified nail professional, I have been doing on own nails for 20+ years. I have always gone for the professional brands (Opi, shellac etc). I've used the non professional brands in more recent years and was very fond of a couple of brands however, decided as Blue Sky now offer a HEMA and TPO free product, I would take a punt on it. I went for the mauve mist for a french base layer. Firstly, the product goes on beautifully well. The opacity is perfect and it self levels really well. The consistency isnt too thick that you can't work with it, but not too thin that it runs down the cuticles. The gel has hardened to what feels like a solid but flexible layer and having used many gel polishes over the years, it feels like one that will not peel easily. The colour is more of a milky white than the pink hue shown in the images, but I like a milky white rather than pink and it works really well with a bright french tip.. The only criticism I have is that it's recommended for 60 seconds curing time under an LED light, which is typically 30 seconds more than many other products I have used, but I'm hoping this makes the durability better. All in all, great value for money and will update again in a couple of weeks when I can comment on how long it lasts

I want to preface this by saying I have been doing my own gel overlays for over 10 years, so I have plenty of experience. This gel had the potential to be the perfect nude. Unfortunately, the gel is far too thin. You cannot get too close to the sides or it will flood the cuticle area, which I'm sure everyone knows how potentially bad this is by now. Being a builder gel, I would have expected this to be a very thick consistency, especially as it advertises that you can use to build extensions. The gel is also far too sheer, especially considering you have to use this in thin coats due to the consistency. One coat of this just looks clear. This means you have to do many, many coats to build up coverage to any extent which just isn't practical and VERY time consuming. Once cured, the gel leaves an incredibly sticky residue that remains even after wiping with cleanser solution (I even used the bluesky cleanser solution!). I also have concerns about whether this gel fully cures, as using a blunt tool I can press into the gel and leave indents (and yes, I cured using a UV LED light and I did it for the full 60 seconds, whereas normally it only takes 30). The gel should cure hard!!! Again, I have been doing my own gel overlays for over 10 years (about 12!), I have plenty of experience and good technique, I am NOT a beginner and everything about this gel concerns me. I have attached pictures to back up each of my points. Use with caution.

Lovely colour but didn’t work well with my nails. Prepared nail bed, cured the nail and covered with a top coat and they kept pinging off. Normally use TGB and never have this issue.

Good nail builder gel. This goes on easily and provides a good protective layer. More like a thick gel than a builder gel but is obviously easier to apply and you can just brush it on. Bluesky products are always my go to for doing home gel nails.

Ich mache meine Nägel seit Jahren selbst, daher habe ich bereits Erfahrung mit verschiedenen Gelen. Dieses Gel würde ich Anfängern nicht empfehlen, da es etwas schwieriger zu verarbeiten ist. Die Deckkraft ist gut, und die Farbe gefällt mir sehr – sie ist schön dezent und schimmert leicht. Das Material ist jedoch relativ dickflüssig und verläuft nicht von selbst, daher muss man beim Auftragen darauf achten, dass keine Unebenheiten entstehen. Beim Feilen kann es ebenfalls etwas anspruchsvoller sein, da das Gel härter ist, als ich es persönlich gewohnt bin. Insgesamt ist das Produkt in Ordnung, man sollte jedoch etwas Erfahrung mitbringen, um ein sauberes Ergebnis zu erzielen.
