Nice seed
This seed took a bit longer to germinate as we were late planting. It’s cooler in the east now, but seed is now coming up.

From 100-Degree Heat to 4-Inch Grass in Just 15 Days!
"This is an excellent seed. I planted it on July 1st, right when New York hit 100 degrees. I have been tracking its progress, and it has been doing great. There is only one difference: it grows faster in the shade than in the sun. Today is day 15 since planting, and the grass is 4 inches tall with a 5-inch root system."

Zero results
Waste of money. I bought this to use on my daughter's grave, been hand watering daily unfortunately, zero growth. Even tried using at a small patch at home, no growth. Would not recommend

Honest real time review with updates
I decided to write a real time review with updates as needed. Please just scroll past this if you are not interested. I received product today. It was received timely. I live in Southern Tennessee where drought conditions have been prevalent for weeks and current temps are in the 80s. I live in an HOA where fescue is required. However, my front yard was over taken with Bermuda. I used Fusisale 2 a couple of weeks ago which killed most of it. Then, I detached the whole front yard and hand aerated it. Next I applied a starter fertilizer. After that, I laid the Jonathon Green Black Beauty at the recommended rate and lightly top dressed it. I also used a lawn roller to help with seed ground contact. As recommended, I am watering it three times a day for five minutes each time using built in irrigation. Looks like crap now. I will update progress in a week.Update October 15. One day of rain and temp in the low 90s. However, I continued to water three times a day at five minutes per session. It now appears that I have about 70% early germination. I will continue to monitor and water and will update next week

Probably The Best Grass For Transitional Zone Lawns
I did a ton of research and I think this is the best grass for a transitional zone lawn. A mixture of JGs Tall Turf Fescue and Texas/Kentucky Bluegrass Hybrid. The JG fesuces have a proprietary “waxy” coating to make it heat and drought hardy. The BG hybrid (developed at Texas A&M) is naturally drought resistant and needs less water that KBG. I put it down 2 weeks ago and got great germination. And the bag is all seed. No fillers or chemical coatings. Costs a little more but well worth it.

Expensive but good results
I bought this blend for a patch in my front yard that gets a lot of sun with basically no shade all day. I did do some heavy aerating and soil prep before I laid the seed. The next few days after it was planted we got some heavy rains for about 5 days off and on. I was afraid it was over watered, but once the sun came out this stuff thrived. I decided to just do my entire front yard and aside from the occasional clover it came out good. I did have to over-seed like crazy. I’m in San Antonio, TX so out of the zone on the back of the bag, but going on 2+ months now. Hopefully the summer doesn’t kill it. Leaving it 4 of 5 stars because no way the bag could cover the area they stated. I needed 3+ bags to according to them should only take 1.

Buy this seed! It’s amazing!
We moved to the Carolina’s from Ohio. In Ohio, we had Kentucky Bluegrass and the grass was beautiful. Moving down south, I’m not a fan of the centipede grass. You can hardly tell where you mowed and to be blunt-it’s ugly. I purchased this seed with hopes for our lawn to look like the Kentucky Bluegrass and it does (if not better). The seed sprouted within 7 days and by day 14 the area is absolutely beautiful. I plan on buying another bag to blend in with the centipede grass.Proper prep of the area is crucial along with watering. I aerated the area with our rolling aerator, put down top soil as the base, watered the top soil, spread the seed then dress coated the area with Miracle grow garden soil that I purchased from The Home Depot. The next morning, I watered the area pretty good then continued to water every other day. Water in the morning before 9am is best! The pictures attached were taken on day 09. Buy this seed! It’s 100% amazing! One last thing- I read reviews all the time before I make purchases. I promise that I paid for my bag of seed and was not given a bag to write this 5 star review for you to buy it. Sadly, I haven’t figured out how to be one of those customers who are given items to be tested for good reviews (hahaha)
