I hope I don't have to use this, but the one time I was scared was 20 years ago when I put a pizza box in the oven to keep warm. Only ~170 degrees, but I should have warmed up the oven first as when it turns on a first the heating element is full heat until it hits temperature. THEN, it cycles on/off to maintain that ~170deg. Opps, I was luck and the sink was close by, but I freaked out. So this lets us have a piece of mind.

Yesterday I had an unexpected fire in my kitchen. My housekeeper was cleaning the stove and turned on the oven by mistake. As I never use my oven … I always use my Ninja Oven/ Air Fryer … there were some item stored in the oven and they caught fire. I immediately grabbed the Fire Blanket which I had stored right by the oven and covered the flaming pan. I couldn’t believe that the blanket smothered the flames instantly and the fire was out within a few seconds. The only result of the fire was a ruined pan, a scorched fire blanket and a lot of small pieces of black ash floating around the kitchen. We even managed to get the fire out before the smoke detectors engaged. They did warn us that a fire had started and the alarms were about to start, but we opened all the doors and got the smoke out. I cannot tell you how wonderful these fire blankets are and that everyone should have them in their home.

I hope that I never have to use this, but it's nice to know that it's there and ready to go. Coming with two blankets and two pairs of gloves is a bonus. It seems very straightforward to pull the blanket out of the case when needed.

Am I glad that I had this blanket. I was cooking this Trader Joe's pizza which is very greasy and drips all over the place. I have these cheap oven liners from Temu to catch the grease but it started smoking so I decided to try and remove the liner. The grease rolled off the liner and onto the oven floor and immediately started the fire. I keep the blanket right next to the oven and I calmly took it out of the package, pulled it out and put it over the fire. As I was opening the blanket I was thinking, "There's a fire in my oven. But you've got this". I was shaking with fear but at the same time this blanket made me feel so calm. It put out the fire in about 4 seconds and barely took a hit. I shoved it back in the pouch to hopefully never use again. Everyone should have one of these blankets!

Give you a piece of mind. I have 2 in my house and I feel better about having this as opposed to a fire extinguisher. Easy to use.

I have fire extinguishers but this blanket just makes sense I kept 2 and gave 2away as gifts would recommend

These are great for the kitchen. Just the right size to attach to the back of a kitchen cabinet door, one on either side of the stove, where they are not seen till needed, hopefully never. No worries about being out of date or spreading a grease fire.
