Black Diamond Raven Pro Ice Axe

Best toy i ever had but be careful since its sharp.If you hike or climb steep mountains then its a must have.

I have had to self arrest with this a number of times and it digs in fantastically! As the title says: get the pro version it's worth the money! I've used both the standard raven ands well as the pro and it's a no Brainerd for me, it weighs way less and when you're lifting it thousands of times up a mountain using it as a third leg you'll be glad you paid $20 more

Light, appears to be well made. Have not had to use in emergency as yet and hope it never comes to that. But understand this is a top rated piece of must have snow/ice equipment for hiking not ice climbing..

I have only used one other ice axe and it was a rental from REI. Big, heavy, and bulky. This is thin, strong, and lite. I was very comfortable with it at my side when I climbed mt. Whitney. I look forward to using this ice axe for years and years to come.

The headline says it. So beautiful I almost hate to use it. By all means read the instruction sheet. If nothing else, be sobered by B-D's appreciation of the limits of even their superlative product. Used properly, this axe can last a lifetime.

This was exactly as stated, an ice axe. I knew exactly what I way buying and that's what it was. This is a great ice axe for anybody and is certainly quite a bit lighter than the baseline version.

The Black Diamond Raven Pro Ice Axe is astonishingly light and strong. I took it on Mount Rainier and I can't imagine choosing a different brand or model. The climb is not very technical so I can't rate it on that dimension.

軽量ショートタイプのピッケルです。最初から最後までピッケルが必要な山行にはもう少し長い方がいいと思います。ピックを立て続ける必要がある場合にはもう少し重くてもいいでしょう。しかし、部分的には必要な山行や、お守りとして携行するには最適な１本だと思います。スピッツェも思った通りしっかりしています。

小型軽量はいい。昔の木製の重いピッケルはなかなか使わなかった。これにかえて、アイゼンもセミワンタッチの4本爪にしたら、なんと快適か。残雪期には必携品になっています。本格的な冬山には長さを真剣に選ぶようですが、軽い雪山には短めが役立つ。

藪こぎ用に購入。軽くて使い勝手がよく重宝しています。手がかりの少ない急斜面ではピッケル、カズラの多い藪では鉈の代わりにもなります。身長177㎝であと5㎝長くてもよかったかな…

雪渓の上ではずーと持っている物なので軽いにこした事はないよってこのピッケルはとてもよろしい
