Dr. Brown's Milestones Baby's First Straw Cup, Blue, 1-Pack

My son has been using this cup since he was 6 months old. It was the only cup that he could successfully use. We tried multiple kinds (munchkin 360 cup, traditional sippy cup, etc) and this was by far the best one. The weighted straw really helps him drink. The handles make it easy for him to hold on and I love that the lid open/closes for easy transport. Now that he's almost 13 months, we have again offered him multiple cups and sippy cups and this is still his go to. We've ordered 2 more so he has 4 now. The only thing I'm not a fan of is how complicated it is to clean. There are 2 silicon pieces that are very small but the cup comes with a teenie tiny straw cleaner (the smaller brush I've ever seen in my life LOL) but it's still the best sippy cup hands down. There was a small learning curve when he was first learning to drink from it but it took him maybe a day or two to figure it out. Couldn't recommend this cup more.

If I could give this cup a standing ovation, I would. My little one treated every other straw cup like it was a personal insult... but this one? Instant success! The weighted straw is pure genius because no matter how he tips, flips, or practically does acrobatics with the cup, he can still get a drink. It's survived being launched off the high chair more times than I'd like to admit (toddlers, am I right? 🤦‍♀️), and it's still going strong. The handles were perfect for little hands learning independence, and I love that it helped make the transition from bottles so much easier. Pros: ✔️ Weighted straw actually works from any angle ✔️ Easy for babies to hold ✔️ Great for learning to drink from a straw ✔️ Durable enough for toddler "quality testing" 😅 ✔️ Easy to clean If you're tired of buying cup after cup hoping one will magically work, save yourself the frustration. The only cup my toddler wanted to use from the moment we introduced water to him. Now we own several different styles of cups for him (straight straw, open cup, tumbler style, etc.) and this is still his preferred cup (mine too due to the leak-free-ness 😂). He loves to drink ice water but it does melt quickly, it is not an insulated cup so I didn’t expect it to. It’s a great size and the weighted straw is great for kids just learning how to drink from a cup of any kind. The straw is pretty sturdy even though my toddler went through a phase of trying to chew on it. The only con, which isn’t really the cup’s fault, is that if your little gets too accustomed to the weighted straw, they’ll have trouble understanding how to use other kinds of cups without weighted straws. So maybe don’t use this as cup #1 forever and offer a variety. He’s figured out other cups for the most part though and it won’t hurt anyone 😂 pick your battles, right? We’ve bought several of these over time also. You REALLY have to shake this cup hard to get any kind of leak.

We have had this cup a month now. It is very durable and we love it! It has been dropped from the seat in a shopping cart, thrown from stroller on paved road and dropped or tossed aside in general. It has not cracked or started to leak at all. The ONLY spot where liquid comes out is after she takes a drink, the small bit that's in the straw up top. Every time I fill it I always flip it upside down and move it around and no actual leakage. So far this cup most definitely checks all the boxes for what I was searching for. Cleaning in my opinion has been very easy and I have no complaints. It gets hot out so sometimes I'll put a couple ice cubes it her water. The condensation has made it to where the lettering and measuring guide starts to come off. Not an issue for us but thought it's worth a mention for someone else that it may effect for measuring with a consistent cold drink. Overall I am extremely satisfied with this purchase!

This is hands down the best straw cup we’ve tried. My daughter struggled to figure out other straw cups, but she was able to drink from this one with no problem. We have been trying different cups for months and It’s actually the only straw cup she can consistently use on her own. The handles make it easy for little hands to hold, and it’s been great for transitioning her to drinking from a straw. Definitely recommend if your baby is having trouble with other straw cups!

My 1 year old has started using straw cups recently, but unfortunately most of the ones that I have that are more suitable for her age was showing some major wear from her older sister that is 2 years old now and I had to toss them since the brands I was using doesn't have replacement straw options. My husband did buy a few new straw cups that were one of the brands that we were using, but I really wanted to find one that you could find replacement straws for . After looking at a few different brands I found that Dr.brown cups do in fact have replacement straw kits... That alone was what made me look into the reviews and what I found was definitely what made me go with the Dr. BROWN straw cups! After receiving them I of course took them apart to wash which was very easy to do. While Washing them I found no issues. However the only issue I found was probably seating the straw together..lol I thought I got a defective cup since the milk I put in the cup couldn't be sucked through the straw. Luckily my husband decided to check it out and found that i didn't properly put the straw together . After he fixed the issue we haven't had any problems with them. Overall I'm very pleased with the Dr.Brown cups I find that they are very well made and easy to use if you properly put the straw together the right way . My 1 year old Daughter seems to enjoy them and we haven't experienced any leaking so far. That being said I will definitely be buying more of these cups !

I did not receive what is advertised! The lid is also scratched. And looks cheap. I’m not convinced that this is an original DrBrowns bottle!!!! Feels like cheap plastic

Great for my toddler. Introduced it to my infant at 7months but found the suction of the straw too hard for him to actually get any water out. Put it away and brought it back out now that he's 11 months. Much easier for him to get liquids out. I didnt realize the straw could be taken apart, the clear part not the part attached to the blue weight, in order to properly clean it. Once you discover that feature it's a much better experience and easier to actually like this cup.

The product I received was full of scratches and a big crack was on the lid. Not sure if it was the original Dr Brown Sipper because it was in bad condition.
