I absolutely loathe painting and/or staining anything as I've gotten older. As my age has progressed to the milestone of fifty years, I've also found that I've grown to be quite lazy. I see no joy to be found on one's hands and knees, with a small brush, in the scorching Summer sun of the southeastern portion of the United States, intricately staining a deck. On a bet this past Spring, I opted to attempt to stain my 1000+ square foot multi-level deck, alone. After painting the rails for several days, I quickly became disgusted with the task that I had so foolishly volunteered to complete in solitude. It was then that I began to search YouTube for a more efficient manner of staining ones deck. Very quickly I discovered this wonderful modern marvel of a brush... Truly a lazy man's tool. Excited, I determined that this was just the tool that I needed to add to my collection of lazy man tools. I ordered it, and it arrived quickly. I completed the monotonous task of painting the rails, and then it was time for the "big kaboom," staining the deck portion. Day 1; I dumped a couple of gallons of stain into a five gallon bucket, stirred it well, covered it, and went back inside to the air conditioning. Day 2; I began the monumental, and much dreaded, task of staining the deck boards with this modern piece of stain applying technology. After re-stirring my stain, I dipped the brush into it and began spreading it onto my deck boards. I was absolutely amazed at how quickly, and effectively, this brush spread the stain... After approximately six boards I was so excited that I called up a couple of friends to tell them how wonderful the brush was performing. They immediately came over to witness my work, and we decided to sit in the shade of the trees, consuming ice-cold beverages and looking at my deck. I don't remember much after that... Three days later; I returned home from a hard days work, and ventured out to the back. I found the brush still laying out in the Sun where I had left it... Dried stain on it, and virtually ruined from lack of cleaning it. On further inspection of the deck, I witnessed the most beautifully stained six boards that I can ever recall seeing. Now determined to complete my work, I immediately ordered another brush. At that point I hopped back aboard my trusty motorbike and went for a nice long ride. Two months later; Autumn is approaching quickly, and other than walking out to the rear of my home, and the deck a handful of times, I have not so much as thought of completing my staining project. The previously stained six boards are holding up well, and the stain looks absolutely perfect. As previously mentioned, in my older years I've grown quite repulsed by domestic duties, and in turn I've developed a sense of laziness toward them. I am unsure as to whether I will complete my staining project before the cold of Winter, or if I'll wait until next Spring. However, there is one thing that is certain... That being; to attempt to stain a large deck in this day and age, by any means other than this wonderful brush, is absolute lunacy. I look forward to completing, or not completing, the staining of my deck with this amazing lazy man's tool... 10/10 on this deck brush. Highly recommend.

Purchased after reading many reviews on the Deck Boss. I was looking for something to speed up staining my deck, but give it a quality brush job. Unfortunately, this item did not arrive on time. I had to put off staining for a day or so and almost sent it back without opening it. I’m glad I didn’t! The brush has soft bristles and covers the entire width of each floor board and into each groove on both sides. It soaks up enough stain to thoroughly cover the boards and brush easily back and forth. The brush attaches to a regular broom handle, which makes it super easy to use. It saves you crawling on your knees or bending over to get that brushed effectiveness. The best part is how quickly and effectively you can stain the floor board of your deck! I cut in the edges of the deck by hand with a smaller brush first, then cruiser along so easily with the Deck Boss brush. Clean up was easy as well. If you are considering buying this product, do it. Great brush, saves time, works effectively, and easy to use!!

A phenomenally good brush, it made staining/sealing my 1,000 sf deck a relative breeze, and I got much better coverage and a better finish than either a sprayer or roller would have provided. I put it on a 4' extension handle and it moved right along with no waste and good coverage even into the spaces between the boards. At first, the plastic threaded socket on the brush and the plastic threaded male end on the pole (which screwed together very easily) did not want to stay tight, and the brush head would try to rotate and loosen. I took it apart and added a few wraps of teflon thread tape like you use on plumbing connections and it tightened right up and quit fighting me, and it was a breeze the rest of the way. This is a very dense brush with probably tens of thousands of bristles, so it picks up and holds far more stain or paint than an ordinary brush, which makes it wonderul for thin stains and sealers, but it also take a little cleaning to get it clean - which, at this price, you definitely want to do! For my purposes it cleaned well with mineral spirits, about 3 to 4 washes until the mineral spirits stayed clear and showed little or no remaining stain, and when dry it still looked like brand new. I expect that this will last me for many years of staining my deck as long as I take care of it.

I attached this to an extendable handle and it definitely saved my knees and back if I had used a regular brush. I usually use cheap, disposable brushes for painting/staining where a few bristles start to fall out before the job is done. This brush was more expensive but the bristles and overall construction were high quality. I marked down a star because the brush would repeatedly find a way to loosen from the threads of the handle. It would wiggle until I tightened it down... but it would loosen again a short while later. It might have been something with the threads on my handle but having a screw knob to lightly tighten down the brush would have helped. Next time I use it, I'll wrap a layer or two of painter's tape over the threads and see if that helps secure the brush better.

This is definitely the way to go for staining a deck. It covers well, gets in between the boards and you can move fast. I could not be more pleased.

Oh my gosh... I cant say enough good things about this product. I have a wood wrap around porch and wood deck. Every year it is agony... trying to stain both of these. I have used a pain brush, rollers, and sprayers. I have never had either professionally stained. It is a ton of work, and long hours to get it all stained. This brush is all that it says. I watched a couple of You Tube videos on the how to's… It easily connected to my broom handle I already had. I would suggest to put a towel under the bucket of stain. It worked Fantastically!!!! Awesome !!!! It was easy to apply the stain and it went by so fast once I got the border taped off from the house and the first boards stained with a hand brush around the perimeter. I couldn't believe it. There was a little learning curve on getting the excess stain off the brush against the edge of the bucket, and I learned to then turn the brush all the way over with bristles facing up to avoid drips to where you get to where you need to be for the next boards. It did do the cracks in-between the boards but not totally. I still had to turn the brush sideways and get in the cracks, but it was so much easier than on your hands and knees painting with a hand brush or roller. The second coat of stain went on like a breeze. I would recommend this product for any stain project... decks/ porches... Thank You so much Perdura.!! Kimberly

I have used a lot of different products for painting and stain and I was very impressed with this product. I also believe it is priced well. A good stain brush costs $15 and I saved on the amount of stain because the Deck Boss didn’t excessively soak it up like a roller brush hand brush. Also this Deck Boss will last for many years to come and more than pay for itself. Good quality item. The time it saved me is worth the extra $25 hands down. I have only used it for staining this deck, so I can’t speak to paint but I completed the deck in the pic in less than an hour, saved a ton of time and literal back aches from not slogging thru it with a hand brush. It worked far superior to a roller brush covering the surface really well, not leaving any gaps or making puddles. Deck Boss was easy to clean and store again for next use. I highly recommend it!

I saw these on Instagram, thought I should give it a shot since some guys in the States were raving about the brush, and I'm so glad I did. Best brush I've ever used. I always oil my deck (never use that water-based stuff), and this brush holds heaps of oil... did the job in less than half the time it usually takes. Highly recommended. Also love the free delivery and my order only took a few days to arrive, so much faster than expected. Super happy, will buy again for sure!

Absolutely marvelous brush. No more stiff painful back. Coats really well. Just watch for the drips as it soaks up the paint. Many thanks to the person who advised me to get the brush pole from Toolstation. Great fit and makes brushing so much easier.

Amazon sell a paintbrush that you cannot use as it has no handle. I had to return this as i spent 3 days searching for a handle to no avail. I phoned Amazon who said no handle was available.

Excellent quality and stain easy to apply. Washes out well for later use. Highly recommend.
