Whenever purchasing handmade pieces I typically prefer to be there in person to make a selection. However, in this case I was overjoyed to open the box when it arrived! Quality pieces of wood were used, expert selection of grains and color tones were clearly involved. The wood feels like silk its so smooth! The handles are perfectly fitted to my hands. The different colored woods are seamlessly connected. I have a brother who does good woodworking, but nothing to compare to these cutters. I showed these to my husband back in the summer and he bought them for me for Christmas. The reason I think this cutter is excellent is because it is not a huge pasta machine to clean. Which is why I have stayed clear of them. It's a simple design that I have been looking for, for a couple years after I saw an antique noodle cutter in a store but it was a lot smaller and did not fit my needs. I make a lot of pot pie noodles quite frequently about twice every two weeks and more in the summer this cutter makes a lot more noodles and quickly. Before I was using a pizza cutter, It's beautiful I appreciate the time and craftsmanship that went in to making it.
