OtterBox Thin Flex Series case for Google Pixel FOLD - Black

I went thru at least 5 other cases before I found this one. This is the one. Traditional OutterBox build quality and fitment. The case has a very nice feel. The case is just the right thickness. Much better protection than the other nock off cases. The case provides wireless charging!

I usually buy cheap cases for my phones since I take care of them so well. For the Pixel Fold, the cheap cases kept breaking from normal use so I decided to pay you a little bit this time and get this OtterBox case. The fit is perfect and I love how it is slim but sturdy. The sturdy part was tested in a big way last night as my phone somehow slid off of the football bleachers we were sitting in, fell about fifteen feet to the concrete underneath, then slid another twenty feet down a concrete slope. Thankfully, the phone landed flat on the front screen and not the corner. The only damage was to the OtterBox case - no damage at all to the phone. Great case!!!

Here's what I like about this OtterBox case. It is OtterBox! Everything that you come to like about their brand, the cleanness the refined look the simplicity. Most of all, the protection you're looking for. Let's face it. Our phones are more expensive than ever these days. Especially if we have a foldable. I tried another brand that was more expensive than the OtterBox only to be failed by broken parts and lack of superior protection. It is up to us as individuals not lecturing anyone to make sure we don't drop these guys. But yes the occasional dropping does happened. I did drop mine. The case flew off after it did land. However I was not mad that it popped off. I have to hold on to my phone. It fell again but this time face down and it did its job in protecting it. I love this case. The edges may look sharp but it doesn't feel sharp. I love the feel of it in my hand as a phone. And it feels very grippy which I love. The case doesn't leave a bunch of finger marks. I love the flat matte look. It is very hard trying to shop for this style of phone. Google didn't do us the best with the design but the functionality I do love. That's another review. They have done their best to protect the phone. You judge from yourself on the pictures. But I love the fact that this particular case does not have a floating side notch deal that covers where it folds. The other case was very annoying. This one provides a very clean simplistic look. Thank you OtterBox for doing your best to protect my phone.

I really liked the way this case looked and felt however I returned it because the way it clipped on to the back of the right hand side of the folding screen cause the integral screen protector to delaminate from the screen. I was able to reseat the protector with no permanent damage. This may have been a problem with the fit on my particular phone, there is no way for me to know.

I am a huge fan of OtterBox cases and this one is no exception. My only complaint is that the edge around the hinge is a hard right angle and it feels sharp in my hand. It seems like an odd design choice. I feel like it would have been more comfortable to hold with rounded edges on both sides. Although admittedly it may add to the structural stability. It just feels liked it could have been a less drastic edge. Still, I am sure it will protect my phone just as well as all their other cases have protected my other devices over there years.

I initially got the case, and liked it. Felt durable and was very light. I've not put it through anything, but it definitely feels like it could hold up being dropped or something. However, after about six months the rubber siding started peeling off. Initially put some glue to try to fix it, but now other parts are coming up. Kinda sad. I thought with getting a case from a big name that it would be a little more durable.

Yes, this case will add girth to your phone, but that's to be expected. It's a small trade off for the added protection.

Kind of a garbage phone case. I've had this case less than a year, it fits good at first but starts to fall apart after a month or two. I've had to two-way tape the case back on, twice now. The case starts to shift and eventually pops off when the adhesive that holds the case to the phone fails. This happened a few times before I taped it the second time (had to use 3m adhesive promoter). I had to rip off the rubber band that acts as a bumper around the front half of the case. I've tried gluing that back on a few times before deciding to remove it. Underneath that band the case has started to rip and split apart.
