I’ve bought a few camera accessories from Ulanzi before—like tripods and lights—and I’ve been really happy with the quality. This iPhone grip/holder is no exception. I actually gave the previous model to a friend and decided to upgrade to this version for myself. I love that it includes a built-in light, which is perfect for taking photos in low-light settings. As always, the grip is solid and the ergonomic design makes it comfortable to use. It’s super easy to operate—just charge it up and you’re good to go for days, thanks to the long-lasting built-in battery. I also love the compact size; I just toss it in my purse and bring it everywhere. Super handy and highly recommended!

I love this grip, is my favorite one, I prefer it over other expensive grips I own such as the fancy Shiftcam grip with battery charger. I find the blue tooth shutter in this unit very reliable (I can not say the same for the Shiftcam) and consistent with a very long battery life. The grip itself holds the pone very securely and provides excellent handle grip bar that provides the feeling of a good SLR camera. You can easily rotate the phone to take photos or videos on any position knowing that the phone is safely gripped. The only thing that I wish it would provide is a lanyard for safety. The illumination light comes handy in some instances, however the light is not very bright. Still good for short distance photos.

It's a nice device. You can't use the volume as zoom on the Samsung S23 Ultra or the device shutter button won't work. Set volume button as shutter in the phone and the Bluetooth shutter will work. It helps stabilize the phone but the device is too small. The palm of your hand activates the phone display, and your index finger is too cramped on the shutter, making it uncomfortable to operate. The grip needs to give separation from the phone. The fill light is strong enough to be useful.

I've been using this with my Beam Pro spacial camera. I have love/hate feelings about it. Pros - Grips the camera nicely. Can slide from side to side so occasionally I catch a bit of the case at the right edge of the frame. - The fill light is very useful and works up to 10-15 feet. Great feature. - I have medium/large hands and the grip fits reasonably well. Would be nice if it were a touch larger. Cons - The shutter button pops off too easily. A stronger magnet so it's more secure would be helpful. As I write this, it has popped off again and is somewhere in my camera bag, but I can't find it. Pain in the a**. If the shutter button were more secure I would have no problem giving it 5 stars, but as it keeps popping off so I have to hunt for it I have to knock off a couple stars.

Once I placed place it on the iPhone you get the feeling that it is a traditional camera. First your fingers do not have to keep touching the screen to take photos except for changing angles or aperture. Second it is not bulky so you can place it in your pocket (I have a strap on my iPhone which makes it easier to carry). Third the photos come out fine and you can point to your target with confidence that the iPhone won’t fall from your hand. The battery is ok in fact it lasts as long or perhaps longer that the one in your iPhone. Yesterday I spent more than 2 hours taking photos and it worked fine. However, the description that come with the product is too concise. One additional thing is that you can remove the shutter to take remote photos. For example I need to understand the light it has. What is the use? Another thing is that though it has a space to screw a tripod it did not consider that you might have a different type of tripod. The one you attached to the camera. I have one of those and when attached I could not use the shutter. At any rate it is a good item.

In my photo, you can see I have the old one which is custom mounted to a phone as is the new one. The old one does the trick of being a Bluetooth remote shutter button, but the new one with the light is way better designed with the magnetic remote and the grip looks a bit futuristic and feels way nicer. I really wanted it on my iphone 12 pro's beastcage, so I sawed it off and glued it to it. Now it's a DSLR!!! A powerful photo snapping/filmmaking machine!!! I my have to buy another one just to have it not mounted for other devices. So proud of this purchase. Ulanzi got it right! I've been Ulanzi loyal since I first bought stabilizers and mounts. A very exciting company and they produce quality usable tools for photographers, filmmakers, & especially mobile filmmakers & photographers. I couldn't praise them more. So thankful this company is around doing what they do better than many others.

This definitely feels like a well-made device by a company that has quite a lot of experience with photographic accessories, judging by the variety and number of products sold by Ulanzi on Amazon.. The CG02 feels nice and solid while still being light-weight. I would say that the texture of the grip area has just the right amount of grippiness. I am sure that many smartphones would fit in this grip. However, I would only encourage someone without a MagSafe phone to use it, as it is fairly difficult and fiddly to get the phone properly inserted into the clamp. Over time, this could result in scuffing the sides of any case you have on your phone. However, once inserted, this Ulanzi device does provide a very secure hold on the device and much improved comfort when using the phone as a camera. The light on this CG02 model could prove effective in low-light video conditions in close quarters, and three light brightness levels are selectable. The light and the detachable magnetic remote each have a USB-C charging port.. I am quite impressed by the quality of this product for such a low price; however, I’ll be using a MagSafe version of this accessory made by another company as it is much easier to rapidly attach to a MagSafe phone. I wish Ulanzi would make a MagSafe version of this device, as Ulanzi’s quality is higher.

S’adapte parfaitement sur un iPhone 14 Pro, la prise en main est excellente et assure une bonne stabilité en vidéo comme en photo. La qualité de fabrication est au rendez-vous et le maintient du téléphone est solide. Sur la poignée, il y’a deux boutons : Un pour le déclencheur et l’autre pour la lumière (appuie long = on/off) avec 3 niveaux de luminosité. Le déclencheur peut de désolidariser du support pour permettre de déclencher une photo ou une vidéo à distance. (Connexion Bluetooth rapide et facile : appuie long sur le bouton et la led clignote, ensuite vous pouvez l’associer avec votre téléphone). La recharge se fait via deux connecteurs USB-C distinct : l’un sur la poignée pour la lumière, et l’autre sur le déclencheur. Un seul petit câble USB-C est fourni, donc il faudra bien penser à recharger les deux « modules » séparément. Côté pratique, la puissance de la lumière intégrée est plus que satisfaisante (voir vidéo, à la fin on voit l’éclairage dans une pièce plongée dans le noir). Dans mon cas, cette poignée est destinée à m’accompagner pour de la vidéo dans des lieux abandonnés souvent sombres (Urbex), et l’éclairage puissant qu’elle procure est un vrai atout, plus besoin d’avoir le téléphone dans une main et la lampe dans l’autre ! Sous la poignée vous trouverez un filetage pour la fixer sur un trépied, ce qui peut être très pratique pour des plans fixes, photos de famille etc …. Bref, à vous de faire marcher votre imagination ! Très bon produit, à voir à l’usage niveau autonomie mais pour l’instant très satisfait !

De smartphone zit zeer stevig ingeklemd in de handgreep die er voor zorgt dat die veel beter in de hand ligt. Het geheel is goed afgewerkt en ziet er kwalitatief goed uit Via de ontspanknop op de handgreep bedien je de camera app van je smartphone, ook de apps van derden. De verbinding verloopt supersnel en foutloos via Bluetooth en die schakelt zichzelf na een tijdje uit. Diezelfde knop is uitneembaar en dient dan als afstandsbediening, wat handig is. In en uitnemen is heel eenvoudig en werkt magnetisch, een prima oplossing. Er is een schroefgat voorzien om de handgreep op een statief te bevestigen. Ik gebruikt het om een extra steun en een lanyard te bevestigen. De lamp is nuttig extra: met 3 standen verlicht die een onderwerp dat dichtbij is zeer goed en gelijkmatig. De lamp staat wel dicht bij de handgreep, dus bij gebruik ervan opletten dat je je hand er niet voor houdt. Het inklemmen is sterk en betrouwbaar, wanneer je de smartphone maar voor 1/3 inklemt blijft rechts ervan nog ruimte over om je duim op de achterkant van greep te laten rusten, zodanig dat het scherm van de smartphone vrij blijft en het nog comfortabeler werken is. Wat kan hieraan nog verbeterd worden? Weinig, maar misschien toch 2 zaken: de mogelijkheid om een lanyard er aan te bevestigen en wanneer je met de afstandsbediening werkt, een lichtsignaal via de flitslamp van de smartphone om aan te geven dat het Bluetooth signaal werkt en het nemen van een foto gelukt is. De lamp en de ontspanknop/afstandsbediening moeten via USB-C apart worden opgeladen. Voor mij is dit in het aanbod handgrepen voor smartphone de beste koop.
