I know, for a Yellow Jacket pump, I needed to change the inlet to a KF fitting, and the company not only provided me with the inlet thread information, but also told me what sealant they used at the inlet! **Q: Does it leak oil out of the exhaust** A: The vacuum pump lowers the boiling point of contaminates in a refrigerant system. As it's operating, those contaminates, such as moisture & oil, move towards the pump. Some of these particles are trapped in the pump oil, while most are exhausted directly to the air. Depending on the level of the contamination, there could be some oil being expelled, but this is mainly from the system, not the pump oil... It treated me well so once it started going out I decided to order another one. It just arrived 30 minutes ago. The Amazon box was good, no marks or dings. The manufacturers box was also good. The styrofoam was even good. After removing all the styrofoam and seeing the pump in the clear bag, which was also fine, I see the fan cover smashed inward at the bottom, making contact with the fan blades. It appears the manufacturer knowingly placed this broken item into the bag, the styrofoam, and the box, and knowingly sold it in its condition. CPS has treated me well over the years. I’m highly disappointed after this. I requested an exact item replacement and am returning this one. I will update when the new one comes in.
