Does what I need it to
Crimper works well. Used it to help run network through my house. Using pass-thru connectors is much simpler and faster.

Well Made Tool
I did not want to buy these at first for the fact I have never used pass through connectors before. So I bought these since they were good priced. After getting them and falling in love with pass through connectors I fell in love with this tool. It is very well made and works very well. I like how it has the a and b order of the wire pattern on then.

Got this tool for the replacement blades only-- now, I have a brand-new tool to keep or to gift
This crimping tool is made in the same factory in China and slapped with various dealer-seller brands. I bought this not for the tool but for the five (5) pack replacement blades included with the tool. I purchased a similar-looking, including the colors, crimping tool (for regular and pass-through RJ-45 connectors) for a home networking project four (4) years ago, and the blade for the RJ-45 slot dulled over time, and no replacement blades were included. I was only looking for replacement blades when I chanced upon this PETECHTOOL that comes with a five (5) pack blades for the RJ-45 slot. PETECHTOOL also sells only the five (5) replacement blades for more than half the price of the tool with the included blades -- which is this set. Hence, it's a no-brainer to get the tool with the bundled replacement blades rather than just the blades. Of course, the replacement blades bundled with this PETECHTOOL crimper fit my other, older but similar-looking crimper. (see side-by-side photo). The tool itself (like the old one, which was sold as "SOLSOP") is well-made, and the best part is the ease of blade replacement - it only takes the correct size of Phillips screwdriver. Now I have a spare crimper for my casual networking needs, or I could give this new one as a gift.

Makes a good, solid connection once you get used to it
It took a bit to get used to it after years of using a regular crimping tool but it works well. When you line them up to push them through it feels like it's not going to go then all of a sudden slides right in. I usually push them up until the cable jacket is under the crimp connector. For outdoor use you would definitely need some heat shrink tubing or an IP65 dust cover around the opening. Nice that it comes with a few extra blades but it would've been great if there was a place on the tool to store them instead of just a baggie in the connector jar.
