Brilliant invention
UPDATE: We have been using these for homeschooling and writing/coloring activities. My 2.5 year old does great using it as well...surprising how it is the right size for everyone! Some people complain that they fall over when you stand up. True....but 1) the kid learns really fast that leaping about/being squirmy has not good consequences (helps do calm work) and 2) easily remedied if it gets frustrating....just push the end a bit into the back of the couch cushion, or rest the corner of the top against say a bin or an edge of something. The surface is a bit slippery but the kids have learned to hold their books on. If it is really aggravating with heavy books, I have used fold back clips to hold the book to the desk. These are indestructible in my opinion (my boys have even used them to skateboard themselves down the desk incline). They stack neatly, but they don't fold so you do need to find a spot for them to store. Very nice they are portable - we have even brought them outside on the deck to color in the summer! Even if an outdoor surface is a bit damp from dew or something, it doesn't matter because you are sitting on waterproof surface. Also, some people complain they aren't plush. For smaller kids, I have used a thin throw pillow from the couch at times. But honestly, kids for hundreds of years have sat for entire days on hard wooden chairs and learned their work. If someone has to sit for like 15-20 minutes to do a workbook, is this a lot to ask? I always make sure we aren't sitting for long periods anyways and get up and shake/jump/exercise the sillies out before going on. So these desks work awesome for us! ------------------------------ My in-laws bought one for my 4.5 year old for Christmas. And I am buying another one for my two year old. These are fantastic! We homeschool and they are perfect for having a desk wherever you need one. Doing some schoolwork on the couch and need a quick surface to write on? Tada, couch becomes desk. Chair becomes desk. Floor becomes desk. Wherever you want to sit becomes desk. I was worried it wouldn't be the right size for a 4.5 year old but somehow, it is almost absolutely correct. If he sits on a thin pillow, it makes it perfect but he often goes without intentionally and that works too. His little brother has figured out how to sit on the end to keep the desk upright and he now clamors for a desk. So I have to get him one or I will have no peace. Some people say it is annoying to fall over if you stand up. This is true, but also can be a benefit. Wiggly child who knows desk falls over if they get up becomes so much calmer on their own at the desk because they don't want to have to keep collecting their workbook and writing supplies because THEY made the desk fall over clamboring around. I think the work surface could be a bit bigger and I wonder if a small ridge could be added to lean book edges on. The surface is textured so somewhat grippy but smooth workbooks just slide right off which can be frustrating for little kids. I simply took a large fold back clip and clipped the workbook to the desk area....problem solved. The desk itself is one, incredibly, molded, heavy duty piece of plastic. I think it is the thickest plastic item I have ever seen. I'm not worried it will break any time soon. I think the invention is brilliant! I think it would be nice to have the option to get a padded seat if desired (good for little kids, probably not good for adults).

LOVE these!
I use these in my 4th grade classroom. The kids LOVE them! We use them for small groups, team work, and for kids who need to move up front so they can see better. Portable but very sturdy. I wish I could afford more of them for my class.

Great for all ages
I love everything about these tables. I ordered 6 total in different colors. 5 for my classroom and one for me to use at home! As a teacher, I like working on the floor and these tables are comfortable to work on. My students love working on them, a nice change of pace from a table and chair.

Great for kids.
These are absolutely amazing. Got a green and pink one to my kids and they love them. Currently waiting for the cushions to become available as by themselves, they can be uncomfortable if sitting for long period of time.

Good for home schooling
This was a Christmas gift for my nephew that is being home schooled right now, fortunately he is a sweet kid and totally okay with the fact that his mom told me to get him a desk as a gift. I'm sure he was just being polite so I sent him a gift card too.

Not as comfortable as I thought
I got this for my kids who learn remote. It was an awkward desk they could not get comfortable. Also, it's not big enough for a tablet and book/notebook.

Brillante invención.
Excelente concepto. He comparado el Portable Desk para que sea usado en casa. Es fácil de usar por los chicos. También por los adultos. Yo lo uso para tener una mesa adicional para tomar notas.
