Highly accurate bore gauge
I used this bore gauge to measure a 650cc motorcycle bore with a 100mm bore (big slug). I zeroed the gauge using a 3-4” inside micrometer at the 100mm dimension, and then measured the bore for wear in multiple directions. Unfortunately, my bore was egg shaped front-to-back, so I ended up getting a new cylinder and keeping the old cylinder for an oversize bore in the future. But the gauge removed any doubts, and was well worth the small cost.

Not suitable for engine work
this is NOT suitable for measuring bore, or oil clearance on an engine. accuracy moves after every other reading and metal rollers gouged my bearings so bad they were ruined and I had to buy new.
