Ho fatto un po' di ricerche di dispositivi abbinabili grazie alla funzionale rete Ai-Mesh proprietaria che consente un abbinamento immediato ed automatico creando una rete unica con passaggio automatico dei dispositivi da uno all'altro in base al segnale migliore. Qualsiasi modem Asus recente consente questo utilizzo, ma essendo quelli di un certo livello piuttosto costosi, ho trovato questo prodotto il giusto compromesso per il mio caso. Si tratta di un repeater mesh che si connette direttamente ad una presa di corrente e tramite app si integra nella rete ampliandola in modo quasi automatico. La guida consente anche di rilevare il segnale che riceve dal modem consigliando di spostarlo se non sufficientemente potente, così da ottenere risultati ottimali. Se invece si dispone di un cavo ethernet è possibile sfruttarlo in modalità backhaul che riceve il segnale al massimo del potenziale e crea la rete migliore in assoluto, così come l'ho sfruttato io. In questo modo le velocità di connessione misurate sono solo leggermente inferiori a quelle vicino al modem (anche perchè il mio modello è wifi7 mentre questo repeater "solo" wifi6, ma è più che sufficiente. Con una linea FTTH da 2,5Gb riesco ad ottenere quasi 700Mb sia in download che upload in tutto lo studio, non male rispetto ai 2-250Mb di prima con segnale direttamente dal modem. Con la connessione via cavo la posizione è ininfluente, così da poter raggiungere anche stanze dove il segnale originale non arriverebbe, ad esempio in una casa su più piani; una soluzione super efficiente! Ovviamente non è l'unico sistema di mesh esistente, ma avendo provato questo Asus devo dire che è molto efficiente e facile da configurare. Se si necessita di avere più velocità ci sono prodotti dedicati più prestazionali ovviamente a costi maggiori, in questo caso me la sono cavata con una spesa limitata e il risultato è più che soddisfacente per qualsiasi utilizzo. Lo consiglio vivamente a chiunque possegga già un modem Asus e debba ampliare la copertura, con un'efficienza elevata ed un ingombro limitato di una scatoletta collegata ad una presa.
