Loft Door Touch Catch Hatch Push - Attic/Cupboard Latch

I hoped it would just be an easy fitting and it was. No need to use the parts supplied to go onto the loft door as the catch worked perfectly with the existing part.

I bought this item to replace the same that I have had for 25 years. Totally reliable mechanism that securely closes the hatch to its supporting wooden frame. However, fitting can be a bit fiddly as the catch needs to be lined up precisely with the receiving mechanism. I like the way it is released by upward pressure from the loft pole, and released in a similar manner.

Does what it is supposed to it was to replace a faulty loft catch

The blurb says it's for loft hatches. It has been fitted but a stronger type would be advisable.
