They seem thick and good quality, have almost no smell at all (have to put nose right up to it to even know you're smelling something). I like that there's no adhesive since I can use smaller, wall-friendly adhesive strips as opposed to covering a large surface area that would be hard to clean which makes installation and removal easy. I've bought one 6 pack so far. It has made a relatively small difference at sound penetration outside of the room I installed them in, however what I found most effective was placing one under my laptop where the speaker are, and the sound that comes out of them is significantly less piercing but still enjoyable. The gray color is very neutral and goes along with a lot of different paints/color schemes. What is most noticeable after installation is inside the room there is no echo when talking in the corner that they are installed, whereas the same building has a strong echo when talking in the adjacent hallway where they are not installed. At this time there is a very significant door leak in the room I installed them in so it is difficult to fully assess the soundproofing effect, so take any less effectiveness in my review with a grain of salt. It did seem to dampen the sound well when placed under the laptop and I'd feel better about recording in this room now.

These panels do not have a noticeable odour. I mounted the large tiles to the walls of my music studio with large black command strip picture hangers for easy removal when the time comes. I used medium command strips for the smaller panels. I just pressed the strip pairs in each corner and positioned them on the walls. They have been hanging for weeks without issue - easy peasy. Alien tape would be a cheaper option but it is harder to remove without damaging the walls in my experience. I think these panels look much nicer than the egg carton and waffle foam panels although they are considerably more expensive. They have removed unwanted echo from my sound room. The provided dimensions are accurate and the colour was consistent across the packs of large and smaller charcoal panels that I purchased. I am very satisfied with this product.

great for my office, i use it as a cork board for pinning paperwork. Also blends in with decor.

Not exactly cheap but they do the job

This stuff works good. It does not include an adhesive backing, so you will have to use fasteners or another method to adhered it to surfaces. I tried lighting some off-cuts on fire and they did in fact sustain a flame quite well. The material has a non-flammable rating, but I have my doubts. So keep that in mind when installing.
