Crazy expensive plus made my head itch.
This probably works for the stomach, but it made my head itch like crazy. I looked on Google to see if there was an issue with this product as far as itching goes and, indeed it has the tendency to make a person itch. Iโm not using it now. Itโs outrageously expensive.

A blessing for those suffering with IBS
Really works as advertised. Saves me from a lot of GI distress. Dairy, cabbage, broccoli, legumes... a little scoop of this tasteless powder & no problems!

Fodzyme helped me immensely!
Fodzyme has been a great help to me after having my digestive system upset! I have been able to digest meals that would have been a problem without Fodzyme. My biome is now normal, but I will definitely keep Fodzyme on hand as I tend to get occasional digestive issues that can last for months.

Works, but challenging to use
I have used the FODZYME product about 15 times so far and would say it definitely helps with the digestion of mushrooms, onions, and garlic, which were giving me issues earlier. What is keeping me from giving it 5 stars is the price per serving and the way it has to be used. First, I understand this is a unique product, and Kiwi Biosciences has a lot of research and start-up costs associated with this. I hope they will be able to drop the price in the future because the price per serving is cost prohibitive for a lot of people. Many FODMAPs are important staples of people's diets and it is hard to avoid them. The single serving sizes are even worse per serving and create additional waste with their packaging. FODZYME has definitely helped me with the testing I've done so far, but the cost is kind of wild. Second, trying to measure out the powder and then eat the food with the powder on it is a challenge. The 1/4 tsp scooper is kind of a mess to handle, and with the desiccant packet in the product, it's just not easy to grab this mini scooper and scrape around in the little container. This might sound silly, but having a bunch of powder on your food is kind of a choking hazard. It is really easy to inhale or exhale this stuff unless you integrate it into your first bite. As an example, sprinkling it on pizza, it just sits on the top of the slice. Using it on salad (with onions/garlic in the dressing) is not easy either. It's not a great product delivery. I understand it needs to mingle with the food to do its job, but aren't there vegetarian capsules that dissolve super fast that could be used instead? If there were capsules, the wasteful single-serving size wouldn't be needed. I hope Kiwi Biosciences continues to evolve this product's packaging and pricing so it is easier and more affordable to use.

Still using it a year later
I've been using this product fairly regularly for about a year now. Fairly regularly because sometimes I forget and sometimes I just can't be bothered. It has its uses and it definitely is not a cure-all. I'm reading a lot of the low star reviews and I'm fairly certain those people have not read what this product is, the intended use, or have inflated expectations. To be fair, the instructions are pretty vague; you're supposed to sprinkle a 1/4 tsp on a portion of food, but what is a portion? Who knows. It's important to also note that the enzymes in Fodzyme will denature at temps above 140F/60C. I found that out the hard way. And it clumps when you sprinkle it on liquids like soup, which seems to make it less effective. But, it's a trial-and-error situation and it doesn't take too long to figure out the approximate dosage and proper application. So, a little background. I was diagnosed with IBS by my gastroenterologist a while back, which is their way of saying they don't know what's wrong. Through personal research and tribulation, I found it to be food related. Specifically, my digestive system can't breakdown FODMAPs. I also developed lactose intolerance at around the same time. Enter Fodzyme. Depending on the type of food and how my body is feeling that day, Fodzyme will leave me pretty comfortable after the meal. If the food has a lot of FODMAPs and lactose, think onions, garlic, tomatoes, cheese, etc., I will use twice the dosage, reapplying mid-meal. That usually works. Not all the time. Don't ask me why. I'm just glad it does most of the time. I also take a lactase supplement called Lactojoy when I eat dairy. I don't trust Fodzyme to have a sufficient amount of lactase and it's incredibly expensive to use for that purpose. This product has given me the confidence to eat a more balanced diet and is forcing me to pay attention to what I eat. Like I said, it's not foolproof and you need to figure out the dosage yourself, but it's better than avoiding all FODMAP triggers and living a sad life. Despite its minor flaws and inconveniences, I still think it's a 5-star product that improves the lives of people dealing with IBS due to FODMAP sensitivity.

FODZYME is overhyped buy if you want to try, I suggest starting slow and track your progress
This is not a panacea for everyone. IBS is so hard and causes great anxiety, so of course, everybody wants a sliver bullet. I am still experimenting prior to re-ordering. I find that it causes me stomach pain but less bloating. I find that it helps with Fructans such as wheat, garlic and onions, so I can eat pasta again. It does not help with GOS and Fructose. The best time to see how it works for you is to test when you have some time that does not require traveling or when in a high stress period. Most important, keep very good notes on what you ate, when and how your digestion worked. It is quite expensive per dose.. but if it works, why not?

A must if you have to eat low FODMAP.
I've had SIBO for almost a decade at this point, so I'm quite acquainted with using enzymes to help me digest my food in a way that doesn't leave me miserable in the bathroom afterwards. This powder is an absolute must if you're hesitant about any food you're eating. If you have any kind of special diet, you know the mental girding you do to ask a server or whoever about what's in the food you're about to order or eat. Sometimes they have the answers, often times they don't, and often they are given bad information because people think I'm just being difficult. I can make educated guesses about what's safe this far into my SIBO journey, but sometimes people don't think about garlic powder or onion powder, or what have you. This is especially handy for decanting into a smaller container (I use little squeeze bottles from Daiso Japan that I think are intended for salad dressing in packed lunches) when you're eating away from home or traveling. When I go home to see my family in Georgia, when I tell servers at a restaurant that I can't have any garlic or onion, they say to me, "Oh, there isn't much in it! It'll be fine!" not understanding that no, it actually won't be fine, and you won't be around when it's not fine. So this powder is super helpful for that. Yeah, they sell the small packets, but sometimes I need more powder for a meal than one little packet provides, so that's why I like to be able to decide what amount I'm dispensing. You don't notice the taste at all, unless you get some stuck to the roof of your mouth like I do when I eat spicy tuna on crispy rice. Then it has a slightly subtle sweet taste, but nothing that overpowers the food at all. I'm able to eat a small amount of avocado with this, which wasn't the case before I started using it. It's pricey, for sure. But it's worth it to me to introduce some more variety of vitamins and nutrients back into my diet in a way I couldn't before. I hope my long-term health sees the dividends.

So liberating to be able to eat normally!
Opens up a whole new world of flavours! It's so liberating to suddenly think, "Oh, I CAN eat that!", going around the supermarket or eating out becomes so much easier. Fantastic product that really helps, particularly when travelling because I don't have to explain "my body can't digest onion, garlic, gluten..."

Works for me
Works well if you follow the instructions: Sprinkle on food (sufficiently cooled to prevent enzyme denaturing) and you will enjoy foods without getting sick. I use the full recommended amount, and use more if I eat again. Fodzyme treats most of the FODMAP oligosaccharides that are blamed for the unpleasant side effects of IBS.

Excellent for fructans and GOS intolerance. No I can enjoy pizza and so many other things when out with friends, and I donโt need to ask my family to alter their cooking.
