Best when combined with 1940 Europe, but good by itself too

An excellent version of the game; worked great with our Europe board!

Really Strategic and hard to play board game; but I really enjoy playing it by myself in my spare time, because my family doesn't want to play it with me lol. The shipment was really good. Next day delivery is amazing. But the box came damaged in the edges, like every single edge on the game board box had damage on the edges and I was also kinda surprised that I didn't come in a box but in the actual game box, but with plastic around it.

Awesome game for many fun hours

Kids love it and adults have a great time also, worth getting. We use both sides of the board for an epic Christmas battle. The Axis and Allies series is my favorite board game along with Stratego for a quicker play.

Hmm, the Pacific theater of operations didn't begin until 19 forty ONE. Historically inaccurate.

Great game, this game can be played on it's own as just the Pacific Theatre or you can combine it with the European game board and have one massive global conflict. A&A 1940 Europe is a seperate game entirely. The game play is very similar to the original A&A, but both 1940 versions have added features. There are more combat units, a more refined cost schedule and a number of new game play rules. We often skip some of these rules to keep the game a little less complex.
