Weldtite Axle Front Hollow Cromo

Size wise it was perfect, 9mm x 108, the centre bore is larger than a Shimano axle, I hope long term this doesn't effect it's strength/rigidity, time will tell. The threads are nice and smooth, even without grease, which is quite a surprise at this price point. The actually cups are longer than Shimano ones and I really thought this was going to cause a problem, the locking nuts are also a little thicker, but. There are two washers on either side, removing one of each was just enough with both locking nuts snug against the inside of the fork.

This was exactly what I was searching for to fix my retro mtb. It seems that this is a pretty standard part and this one fitted exactly and was cheaper that buying just the cones.

Bought as a replacement for MTB. And it's hold up

I purchased this to replace a rather substantial solid front axle on my mountain bike that somehow became rather bent. The operation was quite simple after having first made sure that this axle was a suitable replacement as a QR axle (I already had a spare skewer). Fit and finish were as expected, and to date this new axle has performed admirably. A good, cost effective way to add a QR to a bicycle wheel.

I don't know the life span of axles but this one only lasted a year and a half for me, it has snapped, the reason I purchased this axle was because the original axle when the bike was new also snapped, I think that lasted a little longer. I did fit the axle myself so you could say it was my fault. When cycling I did a bit of light off road with a few bumps but never jumping. Only ever going slowly up curbs and never jumping off from curbs, maybe once or twice when beating traffic. The rear Tyre started to rub on the frame when cycling up hill so that let me know something was wrong, its great that a bicycle can still keep going and get you home perfectly fine even when they do snap, great engineering. I thought it would last longer, so 3 stars from me.

Very good item

Purchased to replace a bent front axle on my Carrera Virtuoso Ltd road bike. The original hubs on my bike are Quando branded. This is nearly identical to the original Quando part and more importantly the bearing cones look to be the same size and profile. Fitted easily and along with some new bearings from the same manufacturer as this axle it has made my front wheel very smooth again.

It came in an package that was already broken. Where have it been? How many people have touched/scratched it and so on? Very unproffesional. /Sweden

La qualità è buona,ci vuole un pò per sostituirlo,ma alla fine con una spesa ridotta si revisiona il mozzo posteriore.Oltre al perno nuovo per eseguire la revisione completa serve qualche straccio,del grasso di buona qualità una chiave per smontare il pacco pignoni,ed un minimo di manualità.Ci sono 9 sfere per lato,vanno ripulite e rimontare il tutto seguendo qualche tutorial se non si è troppo pratici.

I needed a replacement axel and for this purpose the axel is perfect. I used my old cones so I can't really comment on the cones other than I wasn't impressed by how the cones looked - they look cheap
