I am really impressed with this hiking backpack. It has an impressive amount of interior space, at least as much as a medium sized suitcase. It is lightweight for it's size, the lower half can compress to make it smaller, and it has an array of straps that give it stability when in use. All straps are adjustable, it has a protective pull out rain cover that is tucked into a compartment underneath the base of the backpack, and it also has a cover that zips over the body straps to keep them secured when not in use. It is huge when filled to maximum capacity. The smaller backpack attached to it will detach and can be used for daytrips, this also is a good size. This is how I use it when I travel. It's too bulky for me to have both backpacks on at the same time, as I'd be unbalanced due to the weight. Both packs can flatten down for easy storage. It is an excellent quality backpack, the best one I've found so far. 5 stars easily.

Used this bag on my 6 week backpacking trip to Central America. Great quality bag and the removable backpack was by far the best feature. This meant I could leave my big bag at the hostel and take out the smaller bag during the day. It weighed in at around 10kg with all my clothes etc and the padded straps made it feel lighter than it was. I ended up using the side handle to carry it around most of the time which was convenient. The waterproof cover was also a necessity. All in all I would highly recommend

I've just bought this for travelling to Japan for a month, and did a test pack to make sure it fits everything I need. I've got roughly two weeks worth of clothes in, some toileteries, a leather jacket, a couple of pairs of shoes and a small bag. There's plenty of room left over and I haven't even put anything in the front pack yet. I do pack light though, as I only really need a spare change of jeans and a bunch of t-shirts, since I intend to use a laundromat while I'm there. Still, I think it's roomy, and versatile. I like the adjustable shoulder straps. When it arrived they were positioned quite low, so when I put it on, the pack came up above my head, which I didn't like; but it was easy enough to adjust so that the pack sat lower on my back. Only problem now is the waist strap is more like hip-height, as I'm only 5'4". However, I don't think this will be much of an issue since I'm not going to be spending an awful lot of time carrying it compared to some people. The small pack detaches nicely, has a couple of bottle holders either side and a front zip pocket. The main bag has 2 zip compartments inside, and a drawstring compartment in the very bottom. The bottom also clips to the main pack if you want to compress it. Has a handy waterproof sleeve hidden away, and the main straps on the back can be zipped away if you only intend to use it as a holdall or messenger bag. There are multiple clips down the side to keep everything tucked in nicely, so if you don't fill it, you can make it slightly smaller and compact. I'm even considering taking my small camera tripod with me as it will probably clip to the sides (although not sure how I feel about it on the airplane.) I love the way it opens like a suitcase, and the fact it has removable sturdy ridges in the back, so if you want it to be structured, you can keep them in. I'm quite shocked I got this for only £60, as it's nowhere near the price I expected to pay for a pack. I haven't been away with it yet, so perhaps I'll update my review after my trip!

A great bag, various compartments/pockets/zips, etc, etc. An extremely well designed & thought out large bag. You may carry it on your back or carry it like a typical holdall bag, as it has different handles in another position. The one & only neg that I would like to mention is that the zip buckle/s do not have a very strong padlock attachment. I simply bought a lock that has a wired loop (about 2 long), that also has a strong plastic sleeve over & around the wired strands. The bag also has a detachable smaller ruck sack, which is typically the average size of most other ruck sacks. Overall, yes, I would recommend it & as a pos...it seems well put together, so, hopefully it shall last many years 👌

Hate the colour but worth the discount really, MASSIVE bag, v handy when used with packing cubes. Like how the front unzips so you can see inside like a suitcase, like that there’s a zip bit to cover the straps for plane, p decent bag. Wish they’d had the black on sale.

Well I’ve waited until I’d totally finish my trip away to give the review for this rucksack as I wanted to give a totally honest review. It is the best thing you can buy for travelling abroad, even if you just need a large duffel bag to travel abroad in and don’t need the attachable day sack as much. I have just travelled all of south east Asia and Australia and New Zealand for six months and this bag saw me through it. It’s come home only looking a little bit Dusty but other than that it is brand new. It’s very strong and durable and has lots of storage space! The attachable day sack is a little small and I didn’t attach it that much as having it attached and on your back aches your lower back after about 30 minutes so it’s a little easier to just wear it around your front and keep the large bag in your back. I saw atleast 15-20 travellers also using the same bag and none of them looked damaged or worn so it is definitely worth the money. Shout out to Mountain Warehouse for a quality piece of kit.

This bag lasted for 5 months hauling around Asia. Worked very well. Small removable ruck sack was great. Could do another trip so I need to start saving .

Not as expected. Was disappointed with the quality of the fabric. However it was a good size. Sent it back

Der (Doppel)Rucksack ist eine wirklich gute Wahl. Stabil und hochwertig verarbeitet, ist er auch auf der längeren Backpack Tour ein guter Reisebegleiter. Die Idee mit dem zusätzlichen kleinen Rucksack ist genial, auf der Flugreise kann er als Handgepäck mitgenommen werden und bei einer längeren Fußtour wird er auf dem Rücken befestigt. Auch die Aufteilung des Rucksacks ist sehr durchdacht. Kein langes Suchen durch gut zugängliche kleinere Kompartments. Auch ein Fach für Schuhe fehlt nicht. Eine ganz klare Kaufempfehlung.

I used this backpack on a 17 day trip in Costa Rica. This was a bit bigger than I was expecting, but I liked the extra space for the things I accumulated on my trip. There is also a secret entry into the bag thru the bottom, so that was nice for shoes. That compartment can be locked too. I liked how the small bag unzips so I didn’t need to bring another carry on or even another daypack. It wasn’t super easy to zip on the small pack, but it was definitely zipped on securely. The straps have a cover that zips around the back, so the bag doesn’t need to be plastic wrapped to go on the plane. I’m also short (5’2), and the straps were able to adjust to my height. There are no signs of wear, I’ll definitely use this quite a few more times.

sac a la place d'une valise ...donc je n'ai pas fait spécialement de randonnée mais voyage en Thaïlande ou tous les 3 - 4 jours on déménageait (taxi train avion tuktuk...) il a super bien tenu le coup je le trouve un peu juste 60 L et petit sac en plus mais le petit sac qui se défait complétement...excellent pour les petites randonnées - visites de temples et autres surpris par la qualité et sa résistance pour la randonnée je ne l"ai pas essaye et en plus il y a une bâche qui le protège de la pluie et on peut même dissimuler les bretelles (uni pour le transport dans l'aéroport) pas mécontent de mon achat

Ho acquistato questo zaino per un viaggio a piedi di 70 Km. Che dire scrivo questa recensione dopo averlo provato e ne sono pienamente soddisfatto! lo zaino è molto capiente e presente alcuni dettagli che lo rendono molto versatile come: -Cinghie per tenere il carico fermo all'interno dello zaino. -Cinghie esterne per appendere ulteriori oggetti. -Separazione interna fra a zona scarpe e la zona zaino con possibilità di usarla o aprirla e usarla come un unico volume - integrazione della copertura antipioggia e qualità della stessa MAGNIFICA. si nasconde perfettamente sul fondo dello stesso ed è VERAMENTE impermeabile (Durante il mio percorso mi sono trovato sotto 1 ora di temporale, arrivato al campo l'interno dello zaino era perfettamente asciutto neanche un po' di umidità) -Copertura sul retro per la parte spallacci in modo che gli stessi non si rovinino durante il trasporto in mezzi (Pullman, Aereo, ecc.) - Possibilità di portarlo a tracolla come fosse un borsone Inutile poi dire la ESTREMA comodità di poter staccare lo zainetto da 20 litri aggiuntivo in modo da poter portare solo il necessario dopo aver finito il proprio percorso senza il bisogno di effettuare travasi o portarsi dietro ulteriori sacche o borselli. Unico difetto, lo zaino si sviluppa in "Profondità" più che in "Altezza" una volta aggiunto lo zainetto da 20L quindi consiglio di considerarlo uno zaino da 60 litri più che da 80 perchè se caricato lo zainetto tende a sbilanciare molto lo zaino durante la camminata va tenuto solo per "L'essenziale" tutto cio che deve essere tenuto a portata di mano Nel complesso sono super soddisfatto! Caldamente consigliato per esperienze di cammino o campeggio in condizioni di grande carico (12kg) è risultato veramente comodissimo senza sovraccarichi su spalle o fianchi!

Aunque todavía no la he utilizado, estuve mirando mucho antes de comprarla. Es realmente un producto de mucha calidad, más grande de lo que parece y con todo lujo de detalles. Tiene muchos compartimentos y es cómoda porque se abre como una maleta para acceder fácilmente a la ropa. La funda cubre la mochila incluso si llevas encima la mochila pequeña y se esconde en un bolsillo. Está muy bien fabricado y tengo ganas de usarla. Actualizo: he viajado con ella por Asia y me ha funcionado a la perfección. Ha aguantado un aviones, barcos, autocares... es genial la funda para tapar la parte de atrás de las correas. Edito: ya la he utilizado en dos viajes (por Asia y por Brasil) y estoy encantado. Es súper resistente y extremadamente versátil. Sigue igual que el primer día, funcionan todas las cremalleras y accedes fácilmente a la ropa. Una maravilla.
