I've had this Samsonite Omni PC 3-piece luggage set for 5 years, and it's still going strong. The spinner wheels roll smoothly, the handles work perfectly, and the hard shell has held up remarkably well despite plenty of trips. And with three different sizes, I’m ready for anything from a weekend getaway to an “I’m escaping to a tropical island forever” adventure. Now, the built-in TSA-approved locks. These locks are like little bouncers for my belongings, ensuring that my valuables stay safe and sound without any hassle at security. The locks also make me feel like a secret agent every time I pop them open, ready to reveal my perfectly packed wardrobe to the world (or just to the TSA agent). This is a very good quality suitcase. It was the first hard case that I've bought. For the most part, I am satisfied, but I wish I had known a couple more bits of information before I purchased. If you are also buying YOUR FIRST HARD CASE, read these IMPORTANT TIPS. TIP #1: This case closes with a ZIPPER ONLY. It does not have a latch. Zipper-only hard cases are more vulnerable to malfunction because zippers can break or split apart with stress or excessive wear. If the zipper splits on this case, you do will have a latch as a backup method to keep your case closed and you may find your self in a predicament when you need to check your broken-zippered bag at the airport. Therefore, if you buy this case, be sure to also buy luggage straps. Luggage straps are extremely effective to keep your case closed and will help prevent excessive stress or damage to the zipper. When buying luggage straps, write your initials on each strap with a permanent marker. This will not only help identify your bag in a busy airport, but also make the straps less desirable for thieves. TIP #2: I bought the (very large) 28-inch version of this case because I wanted to have plenty of space to pack for long international trips. In hindsight, I wish I had bought a size or two smaller because filling up a case this big with normal items like clothing, shoes, and toiletries will almost always put you over the airline weight limits (and be very heavy to lift). The case is very light, but I can only fill it up about 75% to avoid paying the "excess weight" fees. With the case being 25% empty, I have lots of open space in the bag and my belongings bounce around inside. When I arrive at my destination, I often find my loosely packed belongings out of order and disheveled. For my next suitcase, I will buy something a tad bit smaller so I can fill 90% or 100%. When filled to 90-100%, my belongings would be tightly packed and more secure inside.

TL;DR: I highly recommend this set. It looks great, seems sturdy and durable in my limited use, and is priced just right. Got the 3-piece set ahead of a week-long trip because I wanted something that looked good and that I could use for years to come. These were priced right within my budget and, in my opinion, were worth the cost. There are cheaper options for luggage, but if you travel on any sort of cadence, you know that quality and durability is the name of the game and that you typically need to pay a bit more for that. I think these strike a perfect balance of affordability, durability, design, and brand reputation. Samsonite was recommended numerous times on reddit's /r/BuyItForLife subreddit, so I decided on this set after reading some of the reviews. I've read reviews that say that Samsonite's quality has gone down, and that may or may not be true, but I haven't experienced any issues. I think it's important to keep in mind that there's always a possibility that someone received a faulty set. That would be frustrating, but it happens. I don't necessarily think it's fair to write off the entire set because you happened to get one from a bad batch. I do think that Samsonite may need to improve it's quality control if this kind of scenario is common enough, but I personally had no issues. I had my checked bag packed tight, even slightly over weight, and had no issues picking it up by the extendable handle. Even though that's generally not advisable, the luggage felt sturdy and I didn't feel like I was on the verge of breaking it like I have with cheaper luggage. The wheels were buttery smooth even going over carpet, the expandable handles glide in and out smoothly, and there are some nice pockets within the luggage where you could put smaller items like AirTags, small accessories, charging cables, spare change, or whatever other miscellaneous small items you might have. If you're like me and get analysis paralysis and can't decide, just buy these. You'll be happy you did.

Well-made set compact and sturdy; great simple design.

This is a nice looking set of suitcases. The nesting makes it easy to store. It's great to have the variety of sizes. And the price is very reasonable. However, don't expect these suitcases to last for more than a few years. We bought this set for my wife about 9 months ago. She only used the middle size suitcase a few times, but on our last trip when I picked it up from the top handle the handle broke. We bought my set about 3 years ago. I used the middle size suitcase 20-30 times, so it was definitely well travelled. When I unzipped it the zipper separated from the bag. Sadly, for both of these repairs Samsonite wanted us to ship the bag to them at our expense. Given the low cost and short lifetime, we decided it wasn't worth it. I will also say that it has been difficult dealing with Samsonite about the warranty. I tried calling them three times and every time the wait was over 30 minutes and still no one picked up and there was no option for a call back. I had better success using the chat feature on their website. They weren't able to sell me a replacement handle, but they DID send a replacement suitcase! So that was nice. But I'd rather have a good product than free bad products. Having a suitcase fail while traveling is not fun. We're going to pay more for a higher quality product.

Perfect size for a checked bag. Stuffed it full but stayed under 50 pounds! (46.7lbs)

Solid case went to Africa with it and it took all the bumps and gave great protection to the ornaments I brought back

I had my previous Samsonite for about 15 years before one of the airlines trashed it, was so happy with quality and durability that I wanted another Samsonite. Although a somewhat boring black colour, this is excellent quality and at a great price point. Very happy with this replacement for an old favourite
