Works exactly as intended - open the tub, use a filling knife and fill the crack. Smooth it over and leave it to dry, or light a small kindling fire to harden it. Cements up and goes rock hard. Colour is sandy, so goes with the vermiculite brick really well, wouldn't even know it was there. Didn't use much but it's a small tub, so hopefully the rest will keep.

Ordered this one read reviews on most of these. People all saying the same thing. It's hard to use ? Warm the tub up first easy. It spread n when on really easy. Great stuff definitely buy it again 👍

I bought the buff colour to blend in with the fire bricks. I followed the instructions, but it dried darker so it's very visible. Shame.

I have bought this product before. It was well packaged and delivered promptly. The small tub is sufficient to fill cracks in the cement on an open fire.

When the product arrived, it was so hard to get out of the tub as it was so dry. I had to remove about 1/5th as it was unusable. The rest I had to roll in my hands for ages until it was able to bind together. Even when it did, it soon fell apart. To make the best of it I rolled it into several individual balls with wet hands and stored them like that. Rather a ball or two went off than the whole lot. Next Time I was in B&Q I bought another brand. Twice as much for a similar price and that was as moist as a Mary Berry cake.

It’s not the fault of the product, but I bought on the basis of a answer to a question, which stated that it is dark grey. It is not, it’s natural cement in colour. It does the job in sealing the flue joints, but I’m going to have to reorder a different cement and replace it in order to make the flue look better.

Excellent cement. Filled a crack in the fire brick in my log stove. Brilliant job. Would recommend this product

It works well as it is easy to apply and is not expensive
