A refined, grown-up treat (without the alcohol)
Tried this as an alternative to wine for a small celebration and was pleasantly surprised by how elegant it tasted. The Darjeeling flavour is subtle and floral, with just enough dryness to feel like a proper grown-up drink! Not at all sugary like some alcohol-free options can be. The bubbles are soft and refined, more like a Champagne than a fizzy soft drink, and the presentation is beautiful, would make a lovely gift or something to take to a dinner party. Perfect for a special occasion or when you want something that feels a bit indulgent without alcohol, I think it’s well worth it. Will definitely be trying the other flavours next.

Nice, but pricey.
Was throwing a dinner party & bought a few bottles of this for the non alcoholics in attendance. I'd heard good reviews about the drink & as a habit, I delved further into the origins of the company. The founders are a husband & wife duo who met whilst studying for their PhDs in Food Science. There is more of a back story as to how they came to produce this 'sparkling wine/champagne' alternative but I won't bore you with all that... What I will say is, the fizz is a great no alcoholic option, and even better if you're a lover of tea. Great taste, with lovely floral notes, its not sweet, just the right balance I think but, it could be make sweeter by adding a decent quality Cordial, like 'Belvoir' or something of that ilk. It's not cheap, & IMO I'd say it should cost no more than £14.99 max, but taking into consideration the packaging & presentation, you can tell a good percentage of production cost went into that, as the packaging is lovely & so this drink would be a great gift for someone special, whether they're a teetotaler or not.

Wonderful
Purchased this product which was recommended on the Alan Titchmarsh show. Absolutely fabulous. Will purchase again in the future. Would like to try the other varieties.

Very disappointing
Bought the Jasmine tea version and the overwhelming taste and smell is artificial grape (like any grape flavoured sweet). I found this odd for something that's supposed to have actual grape juice in it. There is no tea flavour whatsoever. The artificial grape flavour is the only flavour it has. It's a flavour I personally hate as I don't think it tastes anything like an actual grape. The packaging is beautiful but the taste leaves a lot to be desired. I wouldn't rebuy or recommend it.

Perfect for dinner parties and celebrations
We served Saicho Hojicha sparkling tea at a recent dinner party for a guest who wasn’t drinking - and it turned out to be a hit with everyone! She’s a big foodie and traveller, and was genuinely impressed. The tea has a rich, toasty flavour that’s beautifully balanced and not overpowering, with delicate bubbles that make it feel really special. It’s refreshing, sophisticated, and a great alcohol-free alternative. The packaging is also stunning. We’ll definitely be reordering!
