Perfect size for one stick of Kerrygold butter. When I've bought butter home from the store, I discard the box, put each wrapped stick in one of these containers, and put the containers in the freezer. I remove the containers one at a time as needed. Because butter can absorb flavors in the refrigerator, and because I don't use butter often, I refrigerate the sticks in these containers after I've unwrapped them. They fit easily into the butter compartment of my refrigerator.

I started using these in Dubai about 9 years ago. At that time I had never seen them in the US. The ones I bought so long ago are as good today as they were when they were brand new. The hinges latch onto a plastic piece and lock. They will not ever come open accidentally. They are so easy to close and open. You will not find a better product for food storage anywhere. The only thing is some of them have a white sticker on the bottom that was a little hard to get off. I bought from many sellers all from Amazon and only a few had these stickers. They are well worth the price!

I use this for my 8 oz chub of cream cheese. It's just the right size! I purchase the version in the foil, which can get messy. Previously, I avoided the problem by paying the extra for the plastic tub version of cream cheese. But then I was throwing away lots of plastic tubs. So now I can save money and do my bit for the environment, all at the same time.

These are great containers, and if you get the right size, they are well worth the money. Just be aware: I searched for what I thought was the correct size, and this isn't it. I based the measurements I needed on another listing on Amazon for the same product number, but in a 6-pack. However, whoever measured those doesn't know how to use a ruler. The *interior* dimensions of this 11.8oz. box are: 4 3/8" long, 3 1/8" wide, and 1 1/2" deep. I'll certainly find another use for this one, but I needed something 5" long, so I'll have to go up a size.

I have been using Lock & Lock containers for years and absolutely love them. They are airtight. I use them for freezing and refrigerator storage. I give them 5 stars. : )

The locking lids on this brand is better than all the rest, and what an interesting line of sizes.

J'ai acheté plusieurs de ces boîtes lors de la réorganisation de mon garde-manger. J'ai plusieurs boîtes de cette marque de différentes tailles et je peux vous dire que c'est de l'excellente qualité. Elles sont très hermétiques grâce au joint silicone et aux rabats. Le nettoyage est facile puisqu'elles passent au lave-vaisselle. Autre point positif, le plastique est free BPA. Je vous recommande à 100% cette marque.
